Did any of you trade your PS4 in to Amazon? If so, how did it go? Did you have everything that came with it? I have the console, power cord, hdmi, and could probably find the ear piece (if needed). I don't think I have the manuals, if you need those.

I ended up going through Amazon a little while back and it was pretty convenient. Sent back the system, cords (hdmi and power), and one remote. Printed the shipping label and put my PS4 box inside another box with plenty of cushioning. Got my credit fairly quickly and they continue to update once received and again after they finish inspecting. I also sent back the micro USB cord for the remote, but I'm not sure if that's necessary.

If they are offering a good credit I would definitely recommend.

I just got $175 last week for it and I sent back to console, power cords, controller and controller cord. No headset.

I got $175 because I sent it in as refurbished and somehow that's more valuable. I bought it refurbished may 2015 from groupon and the box and the PS4 had refurbished labels on them.

Decided to fire up the X1 and play FFXV and 2K17 just too do my own comparison and I have to be honest. For me the margin of difference is pretty wide. FFXV looks amazing on the Pro but on the X1 I was a little disappointed.

Don't need to go into detail on 2K because enough has been said about the difference already.

Being a X1 fanboy I gotta give kudos to Sony and what they've done with this system.

Agreed

I ADORE the XB1 S.

BUT NBA 2k17 is crystal clear on PS4 PRO
And FF15 is as well.

However.

The PS4 Doesnt have the Forza brand. And when I open up Forza Horizon(Xbox 360) Forza Horizon 2 and 3 AND MotorSport 6 I know WHY the Xbox is still Champion.

Until Gran Turismo comes out I still see myself engulfed in the XBox 1 S.

I am likely to buy multiplatform and Sony exclusive for the PRO now...

According to digital foundry, FFXV has a better more consistent frame rate on Xbox One due to the resolution being lower.

I have no interest in Gran Turismo Sport but thus far, it's the only game that I have seen announcing 4K, HDR and WCG (wide color gamut). Hopefully, more developers start including all three.

I am thinking maybe I should have traded in my ps4 and gotten a slim a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago the slim got all the way down to 200 and on amazon for a while the ps4 trade in value has been 140-150. If I had traded in the system then it would have only cost me like 50 plus tax to get a new smaller less noise system. I have never had much trouble with noise on ps4 like some people have but I have heard the slim makes less noise and heck then I could have gotten uncharted 4. To only pay really 50 plus tax for a new small less noise system and with a game is a pretty darn good deal and I tend to have bad luck with system breaking on me to so having a newer system would be good to. Of course it is to late for that and I am sure the system is not going to get that low again for a while now that we are past black Friday and cyber Monday deals.

Man, the Bombcast guys weren't kidding when they were complaining about the messy, confusing options surrounding the PS4 Pro. To get optimal performance in The Last Guardian on a 4K TV, it sounds like you'll want to (1) run it on a PS4 Pro, (2) boot the game with the console set to output 1080p, then (3) change the PS4 Pro's video settings after booting to output 2160p (so that you're using the PS4 Pro's own upscaler rather than your TV's). I believe the technical term for that is a "cluster****."

I hope not because your average consumer not even going to bother to do all that. They just going to turn on the game and going to be like, hmmm, this doesn't look all that great.

Question on PS4 Pro: I know i can check the output by going to Settings/Video Output Information or whatever it is, and I see the 2160p resolution and Automatic HDR.

So, how do you know if you are playing the updated patched version of a game (Battlefield 1) - check version?
