For those of you who have been testing the new firmware update 4.50 I have a few questions regarding External HDD Support
I've been having issues with some games not working or crashing do to a faulty hard drive buy I'm holding off on removing the hard drive until the update arrives as some of the games I have take 8 to 12 hours to download not because of my speed but because there such huge files..so I want to move em to the hdd I got to avoid needing to download em again...
#1 so I ask when I move my bigger games to my 8tb External Hard drive Once I swap out my systems Hard Drive & ReItlize My ps4 will I still see & be able to access these games right away?
Or will I have to Redownload em & there patches & DLC's again to be able to play them?? I know there files are there but re doing the system i do wonder so any verification will be nice.
#2 Will games on the external HDD still Update to there latest version if there's a patch? & will the DLC be moved with it as well as my game save files????
#3 if I unplug The External Hard drive at night to give it a rest will the HDD shows my files once I repulg in the next day?
#4 I heard you can only have one External hard drive to the system but what wasn't made clear is say Sony decides someday to let us increase our storage up to 12 TB & I got a HDD that is 12 tbb could I even use it on my ps4 & would it work or would the one I have been using be the only one that can work just curious as it was not made clear as this might help other in deciding to get a bigger 8 external HD or even chose to wait Cuz they can upgrade later..
Thx guys
