I'm good with opinions but if I think you're doing something silly and it's based off some misplaced, baseless and unexplained hatred for Microsoft, then MY opinion is you're being silly. Especially when you profess love for a company who's committed far more erroneous errors towards their consumers than Microsoft.

I'm one of the more level-headed people on here, defend the guy all you want but I'm far from the first to call him out on his nonsense.

I bought BF1, TF2, COD:IW and simply waited for PS4 PRO before playing any of them. best thing to do in my opinion. And give it time, REVII and definitely Horizon should blow you away. If they don't, then ouch but hopefully, it does.
How are you liking your X800D 43"? I'm seriously considering it for my upstairs office/game room.

Also bought this TV last week. I think you will enjoy it alot if you get it. Very few TVs are a better value at the price point they're selling this one at.

I'm going to get a pro soon. since I recently bought a 4K tv, but I have to say games look better on this tv compared to my old one. The colors are more vibrant to me and everything looks sharper and smoother. It may totally be a placebo effect. But I did come from a DLP TV that was about 10 years old.

              Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

Having one consistent issue with the Pro that's kind of nagging at me - fortunately I haven't had any freezes at all yet. Occasionally when I turn on the system my TV - well, monitor - will display "Out of Range" on a black screen. Pulling the HDMI cable and re-inserting it has worked every time, but I'd prefer to not have to get at the back of my system every time it does this. I never had this happen on the regular PS4, so I'm wondering if it's something in the PS4 system settings that's reporting incorrectly to the monitor.

The monitor is an ASUS VS247. Pretty old by now, but it can do 1080p which is all I really need for a screen size like this. Any ideas?

Perhaps there's a slight compatability issue between that model monitor and/or the Pro? Maybe one or the other needs an update eventually?

That would be an inconvenience to have to unplug & replug the hdmi cable every time you're firing up your Pro.

Does your monitor have more than one hdmi input?

Paul Tassi of Forbes wrote that the upscaling on some 4K TVs does half the job of the Pro. Part of me thinks I shouldn't bother with the Pro and get a true 4K player instead. Why did Sony have to be so cheap and not include that in the Pro? I'd have bought one by now.

I have a similar problem on my LG 4K tv. The screen will work then it will just go black or grey. I can still hear but no picture.

Yeah I've been lucky as well. I've owned a PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 and the only issue I've had is when my launch PS3 got the YLOD. Other than that, no issues. My PS1, PS2, and PS3 all work just fine still to this day.

I never owned an Xbox because there are no first party games that I care to play on it.

Add to that, yet to see one single reason to get a Pro. It's louder, games have had tons of issues on it compared to the base PS4 and frankly, I think it's ugly, at least compared to the Slim. I really don't like that light across the front at all. Take all that and when it's close to $200 more with current deals, I'm very satisfied going with the Slim.

I will say that one upgrade I didn't expect and not sure if it's placebo...but the internet connection seems to be better with the Pro.

I now have access to 5 GHZ on the PS4 and based on my own experience the hard wired speeds are faster. I'm actually having ISP issues at my apartment which the ISP stated actually was an issue so I'm not getting optimal UL speeds. With the Pro I might be able to game online normally despite the current issues.

I can't agree with it being louder although I'm only one day in. My old PS4 was actually much louder. So in my experience it doesn't hold true.

And yep you son's of B's got me to take the plunge. It was almost out of pure boredom yesterday. Now a happy ks8000/pro combo owner.

I have been pretty unlucky when it comes to consoles and issues. I had 2 gamecube's that stopped reading disk after about 2.5 years and the one I have now is kind of starting to do that. I had a ps3 that got the YLOD and that was after about 2.5 years to and when it happened I had only been playing a game for like 10 minutes the night it happened. I have a wii I got in 2011 that I mostly got for Zelda and DK has wii is easily the worst Nintendo consoles. Yes I know most people would say wii u but I thought wii u was good and much better then the wii. Any way that wii I got in 2011 I don't even play that much has I got it for basically 2 games but from just about the first time I used it when I turn it on I get no picture and if I push the power button to turn it off nothing happens. So I have to unplug the system and then power it back on. I also a few years back when I was getting close to the end of SWS started to have a issue with the controls wigging out on me has I wouldn't be push any thing yet link would be running. I got a new controller thinking it was the wii controller having issues and yet was still having issues. Then for the heck of it I tried using the bar from the wii u instead of the wii one and had no problems for a little while. Then not long after my wii would not pick up controls at all. I got it fixed not long ago and not long after it again started to not pick up controls. The odd thing is if I use the battery charge station battery's it gives me a lot more issues with picking up the controller then if I just use regular batteries. But I hate just using regular batteries has I find the wii eats batteries so darn fast.

You do have bad luck it seems.

The only console that I've ever had issues with is my launch PS3. Never had an issue with the Nintendo consoles that I've owned.
