My ps4 has been sounding like a fighter jet lately so I tore it down and gave it a good cleaning. I replaced the thermal paste and reassembled it. Bad thing is I had one left over torque screw that I couldn't figure out where it went. Disassembled it again and still couldn't figure it out, finally said oh well, let's put it in this hole. Reassembled again and it works and the noise level is down. Played Horizon last night and the system played way quieter than before. Was definitely scared and holding my breath the whole time!

For Spotify what is the deal with when you are in a game on the PS4 and try to play Spotify and it says the scene is blocked?

I realize that for some scenes in games they don't allow Spotify and all but my last couple of games, Nioh and Horizon Zero Dawn, it ALWAYS says that.

For Spotify what is the deal with when you are in a game on the PS4 and try to play Spotify and it says the scene is blocked?

I realize that for some scenes in games they don't allow Spotify and all but my last couple of games, Nioh and Horizon Zero Dawn, it ALWAYS says that.

You can turn that message off in Notifications settings, if you are tired of seeing it. The blocked scenes don't change but at least you won't keep seeing the notification.

I've had it turned off from the beginning, but I think MLB The Show also gives you constant reminders.

Nioh blocks story scenes. I don't think it's related to Spotify. I don't have it on and I get that message on scenes. Haven't played Horizon.

It's the same as it was with Tales of Zestiria (the whole game, almost) and the Show loading screens (although I found it odd that those were blocked).

As Slab said, there's an option to turn the notification off.

I think I misunderstood your post. I thought you were stating you were the notification during blocked scenes, not that Spotify didn't work at all. I'm not too sure this is a Spotify issue either. I think it may be built into those games, because of in-game dialogue. MLBTS allows you to play your own music while playing, even during blocked (loading) scenes, by the way.

It's the notification for when the game is blocking streaming/video recording attempts - if you're streaming at the time one of these notifications pops viewers will just see a blue screen with Playstation icons.

It's because some game creators don't want their content spoiled by people streaming their game to a large audience. Sometimes it gets taken to extremes like I mentioned with Zestiria, which blocks virtually everything in the game aside from some very specific battles.

For those lucky people who have PS Vue and just in time for March Madness.

Sony today announced and launched a new feature for its streaming TV service, PlayStation Vue. You can now watch up to three live channels at the same time on the same screen.

Here's how the feature works, as explained by Sony: "Just press and hold X on any live TV program from the Guide or Live TV row of the home screen to open up the selection screen for multi-view. A menu will pop up to give you an option of using either two or three multi-view screens. You can select any other live programing from the Live TV strand and start viewing multiple programs at once. The main screen in multi-view will contain audio of the programming."
