Hopefully IF they add that.. they also add a way to have it turned off. Was sooo anoying on XBOX so I had notifications turned off.
Especially when someone gets on and there's an update to thier game etc..

You'd think it would work like xbox one's alert. You can either get all alerts or just from friends you designate as favorites.

Twitch rolled out two-factor authentication today, and it would be most wise to activate it if you use your account regularly and have some means of receiving text message or can download the authentication app.

Anyone else have an issue connecting to PSN tonight? My PS4 was attempting to install the 3.11 update, but couldn't due to being unable to connect to PSN. I can connect to PSN on my PS3. Strange.

Make sure you're not signing into the same account twice. We have two consoles here and never have issues with it.

Make sure you have two different ps users setup and each one is linked to a unique PSN user.

Do you use a sub-account? I think yes, because that allows you to tie the other account to having a plus subscription?

I don't and it's not needed. The primary console feature handles that. Their home console allows ps plus benefits to be shared.

My wife texted me at the dentist with the same issue. I told her to hard reboot and that fixed it. Maybe it was just our wives, LOL

mine did the same thing last night..i had to go to settings and click on playstation network to sign in before my ps4 would update...couple buddies of mine did the same...weird

Yeah..did the same thing with mine about an hour ago while I was playing fallout 4. I game share with my son and got a warning about my license due to my ps4 not connected to psn and just went to settings and signed into psn. Seemed fine after that.

I agree and I believe the Xbox has it where it doesn't come on while watching movies. I have it set to notifications from only favorites. Hopefully, Sony brings similar features.

Updated my hard drive this weekend to a 2 TB. Ran into some weird stuff that I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced. I think everything is back to normal now but wondering if I might have done something wrong.

First...while backing up my saved data to a USB 3.0 flash drive that I had already added the OS install to, I started with Madden and just said Select All rather than going through each one individually. Started it and switched the input back to the football game I was watching. Next commercial break, I flip back over to the PS4 input and the system had shut down. Noticed that the Madden files were on the flash drive so moved on to WWE. Same thing when I switched back at the next commercial break. It was almost like the system went into some type of deep sleep mode because I had to actually push the power button on the system. Decided to try a smaller file to see what was going on and it worked perfectly fine. Tried Madden again but selected each file individually and waited the 3 minutes to see if it said anything...nope, worked fine. Eventually got everything onto the flash drive but this seemed weird to me. This was all from the old hard drive prepping to go to the new one.

Then...after installing the new drive and getting the OS set up, I started to re-install my games. I've got 3-5 digital copies (minus PS Plus ones that were all smaller) in addition to some big Application Data files for some physical copies. At one point on Saturday night, they all said at least 6 hours to completion. This is on a wireless connection. (I know that explains the time. I don't usually care too much about the speed because I'm a solo offline gamer 90% of the time and allow it to update patches and stuff while I'm at work or sleeping) I decided to plug the PS4 into the router directly on the upstairs TV while my wife was napping to get a little faster speeds. Did that, saw that it was looking more like 60-75 minutes a piece so I turned the TV off (left PS4 on), and went back downstairs to watch some football. Came up about 45 min later to check on things and the screen was black but I could hear the audio going on and off. Tried a few other things but nothing worked. Brought it back downstairs and plugged it in half expecting to need to call Sony and it worked fine after it checked the system files. Again, this was with the new hard drive.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else? Like I said, I haven't experienced issues outside of these either before or after them. Did I maybe miss a step or more somewhere that would have caused this?

Did you do a full backup/restore using the system options? Or were you attempting to just manually back up each game individually?

Honestly it is a lot easier if you get a third hard drive of adequate size and do a full-on backup and restore. Just backup your entire system to that external drive, take out your old drive and put the new one into your system, install the OS via a USB flash drive, then select restore from the system options. It is basically a "clone" method of your original hard drive.

I did just this and although it took a while (~5 hours for backup and then the same for the restore), it worked great.

So Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence was finally released and it's already on sale.



My last NA game was on the PS2, and i play this series since the Snes, with NA: Lord of Darkness. I wanted to buy the physical copy, but it seems that Koei didn't release it physically here.



It is one of those niche games that you'll probably find in stores for a cheap price, like a shelf warmer, which ia a shame, cause it's a great game.



If you like RTSs (like Kessen, Total War and Civilization), this one is a must (and the controls are really good on consoles)

I've never really messed with any RTS's. This looks kind of cool, though. How much is it now?

YES!!! Gravity Rush Remastered is officially getting an NA physical disc release on February 9th, 2016 for $30.

GRR was originally going to be a digital only release for NA (despite it also being available on disc pretty much everywhere else) but after a lot of negative feedback and complaints, Sony gave in and changed it to include a physical disc based release. I originally had both GRR and GR2 on my 2016 list but then took them off but now, both are back on.

Now Sony, get that Bloodborne complete edition disc release to NA too!!! Let's go!!! Let's go!!!
