As someone who was and still is 100% against the PS4 PRO and mid-gen upgrades, I still bought a PS4 PRO because I also bought a 4K HDR TV and after playing Horizon Zero Dawn on it, it's impossible to go back.



If you own a 4K HDR TV or plan on buying one, then I would recommend going with the PS4 PRO or waiting until year's end when the price will drop on the PRO and the 2016 4K HDR TV models go on clearance.



Horizon Zero Dawn for me has made the investment already worth the money and it should only get better from here on out.

This is usually the case with those against the pro. They're against it and have never played it then when they do it becomes impossible to go back.

I'll be upgrading to the Pro very soon. I don't have a 4ktv but will in sometime in the future so will be ready to go. For me the improvement of framerates in games is a big deal for me. Also a new warranty, controller & larger hard drive is another plus. Looking forward to it. Just curious how do the sports games fair when it comes to using boost mode? Thanks.

Can't argue this and while im enjoying the Pro, in fairness, it technically only cost me $40 which played a huge part in me buying it.

that's my thing, Just going to put the slim in the bedroom on my 1080p plasma.

I have my Slim in my bedroom and the Pro in the living room, do that.

ODogg is right and EG is right too. EG is right about not much of a difference to see right now outside of a few games. But so is ODogg when he talks about down the road. Just go ahead and futureproof your decision & get the Pro.

I got mine around Black Friday from Amazon, it was $209 and included a year of PSN+. Since you can trade in and get instant credit, I "traded in" Uncharted 4 that came with the Slim for $25 and my PS4 for $150 and Gold headset for $30. So paid $4 to get a Slim and a year of PSN+

This seems to be more active than the PSN thread so I'll post it here too.

If you haven't purchased Journey, The Unfinished Swan, Bound and Flower, do not take advantage of the Avant garde bundle sale going on right now.

The $45 is definitely less expensive than the total individual retail price of each game, but the weekly sale going on right now has actually made purchasing those 4 titles separately cost just $29 total.

I liked the Slim buttons. For some reason I don't really dig the Pro buttons, not like its a big deal or anything. Just being nit-picky. Never had an issue, just think the design maybe could have been a bit better there.

This makes me sick...A little while ago it looked like Sony got their you-know-what together and my internet speeds were more in line with what was coming in the house. It got terrible again in a hurry but this is just unacceptable.

I recently bumped my internet speeds at home up and on WiFi am getting somewhere between 200-300mb/S. Or higher as the pic illustrates. On my PS4, hard-wired no less? Embarrassing speeds. Sadly that was the best of the three tests I did on my PS4.

Sony, you should be ashamed of yourself, charging what MS does for their online service and not even being able to sniff their jockstraps.

Have you tried opening the web browser and using some non-java speed tests? I've gotten pretty close to my PC speeds on those. The system menu speed test always shorts me a lot
