Well I just moved my plasma from the bedroom back to the living room to hook up to the Xbox for my son move the PlayStation four pro to the bedroom with the 4K TV since I'm in the bedroom more made sense of the problem the 4K were in the bedroom with me.

I thought that Horizon was gonna be the first "system seller" for Pro but it appears, in this circle at least, that honor belongs to The Show. I feel like more people on here are buying Pro and 4k displays now that when the Pro launched. Fitting that a first party title is what is getting people to invest in the Pro.

Gonna be a good year for us gamers!

Right now, I'm still holding out for a Switch, and don't think I can swing that and a PS4 Pro. Well, I mean, I can afford it, just don't think the Mrs. would sign off on both purchases. So, I'll be playing The Show on an OG PS4 and 1080p TV.

Right now, I'm still holding out for a Switch, and don't think I can swing that and a PS4 Pro. Well, I mean, I can afford it, just don't think the Mrs. would sign off on both purchases. So, I'll be playing The Show on an OG PS4 and 1080p TV.

If the Switch and Pro had come out at the same time I probably would have gone Switch first. Base PS4 is a perfectly great system and the Switch is just cool as hell.

When I first read your post my mind went back to that rumored upgraded spec Pro talked about back in October after the Scorpio announcement. I was thinking it could be their plan to make a "Scorpio level Pro" and then just lower the cost of current Pro to 300 bucks and phase it into the new, base PS4.

If it's just a slim model of the current specs, the interesting thing would be to see what the price point is and what it will do to the price of Fat Pro. Maybe it's their best bet to compete with Scorpio, offer the less powerful system at a much lower cost?

I don't mind what the size is, but I really hope that they do add a UHD drive. That would definitely put me over the edge.

If it's a neutered PS4 Pro, that doesn't entice me too much even at a lower cost.

I just finally got around to playing horizon on the PS4 Pro and I will eat all crow I have it hooked up to my 4K HDR TV and I have never seen a game so clearer and colorful the graphics are just like wow!!!!!! Can't wait for the show on Tuesday

Haven't read any of the rumors, but wonder if it'll begin their pivot to a single standard PS4, with Pro internals. That has to be the inevitable outcome if the PS5 is more than a couple years away.

Phasing that out and making Pro the standard would be better for gamers, but probably not the bottom line. A lot of value to being able to continue to shrink the original and increase profit margins.
