I think a lot of people are too quick to jump on the "avoid wireless at all costs" bandwagon.

I was, until I tried the 5ghz wireless and that is butter..just as good as wired for me.

Yeah the router you have makes all the difference in the world. If your ISP gives you speeds of 250 or less (possibly up to 500), if you have the right router you will see little to no difference between hard wired and wireless. Sure dropped packets and latency can potentially be slightly worse on wireless, but I don't think it is anything to worry about unless you are in some tournament for money or something.

Exactly. Ever since I got that router it's been a night and day difference.

Keeps failing when I try to connect to 5ghz network.

Edit:

Okay. Weird one -

If I got to set up internet connection and I choose 5ghz user it fails to obtain IP address. But I am online! And if I check View Connection Status it shows I'm connected to the 5ghz. Weird.

I am in same room as router so I should always go 5ghz connection?

This is still a weird one for me. No idea why I get this.

My router/modem combo is giving me around 60down and 12 up (from PS4 browser) which is what my package is. Don't think a new router would do me any good?

I get the same speeds, expect for my uploaded and download are the same speeds. Anything over 15mps for gaming is great

Sorry late to the party but Congrats. Can you see much of an upgrade on 4K TV with no HDR. I am in the same boat hence why I have been holding off on a Pro. All the HDR talk basically scared me away from the Pro purchase.

I've only played the Show (other than some Indies. The Witness is supposed to have been optimized also for the Pro but yet to restart it) and yeah there's a difference.
Lots smoother IMO.
Don't know if placebo but I swear I am seeing the balls/strikes better also when batting.
The game always looked great and with my eyes who knows but I do know it looks awesome.

It was really a no brainer for me after I lost interest in the "Scorpio". I still had OG 500GB HDD so 1TB will hold me over nicely.

It's not just a placebo effect for The Show. More frames = clearer vision of ball's flight. It helps tremendously.

I'm close to 60 games played into my 2K17 Association and I'm starting to have real issues playing the game. I keep getting the ce-34878-0 error so I deleted and downloaded the game, tried switching it to and from my external HD and I still can't get it to play a full game without freezing.

I'm at a loss on what to do with this issue still. I'm so, so frustrated that I can't play this game anymore. I can't save the MyGM again either.

I don't know what else to possibly try. I'm going to attempt to move it back to my console HD one more time and hope for the best.

Has anyone experienced anything like this with any digital game before ? I've searched the web and it's a pretty common issue being reported on reddit and some other websites and just like myself, everyone is saying it's only 2K17 and only on the PS4 Pro.

Some are suggesting it's a cache issue, but the PS4 doesn't have one really or way to clear it.

The PlayStation 4 error CE-34878-0 can usually be fixed without having to re-install the PS4 system software. Here’s what you need to do to fix the error:

Restart the system and try again. Make sure the latest game patches and PS4 system software has been installed.
If the error persists, re-install the game (re-download if its a downloadable title), and try again.
If the error still persists, you’ll have to re-install the PS4 system software. Go to Settings, then to Initialization, and choose Initialize PS4. Be sure to back up your data before doing this.

Back with another question, you guys are always so helpful.

When it comes to space on your PS4 is there a amount you like to keep free?

I have 22 gb free right now but don't know if there is a certain amount I should keep free in case of future updates for games I have installed or system updates

Another question too

I was looking at something like this to charge spare controllers and headsets with the PS4. Would this work

Have you tried rebuilding the database? I don't know if that will help but it's worth a shot. And easier than re-downloading the game or reinstalling the system software.

My PS4 runs fine, it's just weird when I run through the connection setup, I get a "Failed to Obtain IP Address" but when I go to my connection, it shows I am connected to 5ghz with 97% signal strength. So it's not hampering me in anyway, just a weird occurrence I was curious about. Why it says failed to obtain, but obviously I am connected.

That must be an error in the PS4 interface display is my guess. I wouldn't worry if you're connected and have no issues. It'll likely go away in a PS4 update.
