I’m a die heard Spider-man fan and had in my BB cart the bundle... by mid afternoon today by the time I decided to pull the trigger, they were all gone within 250 miles of me. On top of that, I can’t find standard PS4 Pro anywhere.

Is the PS4 Pro shortage that bad? Even Amazon doesn’t have them... I looked all stores around me and all they’re out. I’m kind of shocked.

Yes, there's a shortage. The Spider-Man bundle is the only Pro available unless it's out of stock.

There was that 500 million limited edition but we all know that was gone in seconds.

So you have to wait for more Spider-Man Pros to stock. Unfortunately.

I don't understand Sony's thinking here regarding the reduction in Pro production. Wouldn't you want more consoles in stores this time of year with so many games coming out?

It was in stock twice today at Best Buy... by the time I hit place order button it was out. Very frustrating.

<b>Supply & Demand</b> shows Sony's exclusives are selling out on their PRO consoles. 4K TV sets sales have increased. Supplies come in, they go out.

Whomever company Sony signed to <b>mass produce</b> the PS4 Pro's in China is in its closing phases. Whatever the contract was to complete x-amount of units most likely still remains open.

The new tariffs being imposed on American products from China. SCA (known as Sony of America) no doubt is effected. Specifically the electronics division. I don't have concrete evidence, but their is mention of up-to 27% cut off their <b>profit margin.</b> Especially with products that are massed produced. That is a major "Yikes", to shareholders. Now add losses of meeting your $399 USD retail price commitment and they'll be lining up in the men's - ladies room. Sony, most likely, has reduced the numbers of productions.

I think part of it as well is the fact that they made the Spider Man PS4 Pro bundle, the 500 Million PS4 Pro Special Edition, and now they are reportedly making a Kingdom Hearts themed PS4 Pro. I think they spent more production time on getting these special editions made that they backed off of production on the standard Pro.

My thought is that around the middle of October, you'll see standard PS4 Pro's back in stock everywhere in time for the holiday season.

Yeah, they’re no where online. I even went to some stores today and no go.

They’ve been in stock a few times on Amazon today but every time I placed order it said it was gone.

Yeah, crazy that they are still a pain to find - I lucked out in early August when some places restocked. Just keep checking the store apps (Best Buy, GS, etc) daily.

So just saw a few like sale/rumor news for spiderman. The first one is the rumor because the data has not been officially released. That is that it may have out sold GOW during its first 24 hours in the USA. The one that is official is that the game is the fastest sold game in the UK this year and like double GOW sales there and what makes it being the fastest sold game there even more impressive is that the game it slightly beat is a multiplatform game. So I just saw a few updates/rumors about the games sales. First one is not just a rumor that is in the UK spiderman is now the fastest sold game this year. Its going to be very interesting like how much does spiderman move consoles? I am sure sales will be up in September compared to august because of spiderman and really like the rest of the year with its dlc and with holiday seasons comming up and sales on the system and such but how much? Like are September sales compared to august going to be up 10%,20%, etc?

Spider Man is the fastest selling game in the UK beating out Far Cry 5. I wouldn't be surprised if it beats out God of War. I'm actually expecting it to beat out God of War as it's a far bigger brand name and the game is TEEN rated which makes it more accessible.

Have any of you gotten a notification that says someone on your friend list (but whom hasn't been active for a long time to your knowledge) started a group and added you to it? If someone I knew did that it's odd that they wouldn't say anything else after doing that. I've gotten two of those notifications in the last couple weeks.

I think it's possible the accounts were hacked since to my knowledge they've been inactive for quite a while and from before two-factor was introduced. I can fact-check one of them since I know he has connections to others that I know. They're also both former OS members, btw (at least I haven't heard of them for ages on this site) - but that's not really a surprise since 90 % of my friends list is made up of OS members.

Can't stress it enough - use two-factor auth, folks.

Major firmware revision 6.00 dropped this morning. Any beta folks mind sharing what's new?

Edit: Doing a bit of reading, it doesn't seem like this should be considered "major", like whole number releases generally are. Are beta testers under NDA to not talk about it?
