Some of y'all love dreaming lol. Earliest you will get ps5 news is next year's PSX. Until then enjoy what you have now.

We're in the midst of some extremely awesome games on this system.

Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

    lol

So sounds like the pro is going to get a price cut of 50 down to 350 in Japan starting October 12th not sure if pro is going to get that in USA to. I do think it is time for a price cut with it being almost 2 years from when it came out now.

          Re: PlayStation 4 Discussion

I can see PS4 Pro maybe being on sale during Black Weekend/Cyber Monday through up to Christmas but I would be shocked if they lower the retail price because it seems like all that can be found is the Spider Man bundle and soon to follow COD and RDR 2 bundles so lowering the console to $350 would mean you save $50 AND get a free game. Would be very surprised if Sony were to do this.

As for PlayStation 5, September 2020 baby!!! Releasing in 2019 would be beyond stupid. First, the chipsets would cost more than what they'll cost in 2020. Second, Sony has at least four more AAA exclusives that they need to release. Third and perhaps most importantly, with their studios releasing a game between 2017 and well, not yet, there's no way any of their studios would have any games ready for a Fall 2019 launch which means you technically would be waiting an extra year for their PS5 exclusives to be released.

Another reason which I just thought of a few days ago while watching videos of AC Odyssey, there's no Assassin's Creed game in 2019 which means we'll get a new AC game in Fall 2020. There's no way in hell that Ubisoft would do this if PlayStation 5 (or Xbox 4 for that matter) was to release in the Fall of 2019. Just no way. When PlayStation 4/Xbox One launched in November 2013, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was by far and away the best damn game available on both consoles and it wasn't even close.

With Odyssey getting around an 85 MC/OC and majority loving the game and sales that will most likely surpass Origins, just no way Ubisoft would miss a console launch and not have an AC game day one. Especially if there's no exclusives worth buying due to the studios already releasing a recent game or haven't done so yet.

I know some may say - "cross-gen" but that's not going to happen either. Outside of LittleBigPlanet 3, Sony has never released an exclusive to be cross-gen and why would they? Plus, if PlayStation 5 is backwards compatible, no reason for their exclusives to be cross-gen when you could just pop in the PS4 disc of say, TLOUP2.

One final note - why anyone would even want PlayStation 5 (or Xbox 4) in 2019 is simply beyond me. Both consoles will have excellent exclusives and when looking at the third party games, holy crap, it's freaking insane to the point that 2019 will make 2017 look like 2014 in comparison.

For ps4 pro price it just fells like by now we should have some kind of price cut. If ps4 was not dominating sales so much most likely both the pro and slim would be cheaper by now but no point in really dropping price if something sales are still so great. With ps5 a few things with the price of chips DF did say that 2019 is the soonest that a like gen type of jump could be made from Sony so they dont think ps5 would cost to much to make in 2019. With the AA games part I do see that but at the same time I known ps3 had some big games in 2013 when ps4 game out. About there studios I could see a Horizon zero Dawn 2 comming out at launch of a late 2019 ps5 release that would give it around 2.5 years from the first one to a sequel I dont think that is not enough time or say early 2020 not long after a late 2019 ps5 release and by than that would be 3 years. Is 3 years for a sequel really not enough? About AC so its on a ever other year thing now? I have lost track of how many games there are with how many and how often they have been comming out.

I would like a ps5 in 2019 yes there are still a lot of big games but my backlot is so big that having a lot of games I think is going to be a issue no matter what un till the day I die but I am ready to play games in 4k. Yes I known pro can play some but I already have a slim ps4 so I am better of waiting for ps5 and more games on ps5 will be 4k or 1440p or better compared to ps4. Also ps5 will most likely have a 4k player meaning I could than get rid of my 4k player to save some space and ps5 will most likely be able to play ps4 games and that means I could also get some money back from that and a 4k player and really spend less to upgrade to ps5 and maybe ps4 games will look better on ps5. Now xbox no way 2019 for a new consoles that would only be 2 years after xboxone x and would piss a lot of people off most likely.

If you’re ready to play games in 4k play games in 4k. You’re missing out on a ton of 4k content just sitting around wondering when these next consoles are coming.

Playing games and buying systems is expensive and with ps4 being only like 1-2 years away it would be much better to just wait for ps5 at this point in time instead of having spent 400 on ps4 and than spending like 350 or so on pro and than spending another like 400 or so on ps5 in only a year or two. Also like I said more games will be in 4k on ps5 than with the pro.

So you’re not ready then [emoji6]

I think essentially everything I play is in 4k now. Between the X and Pro. I know some of the Pro stuff doesn’t quite get there but it still is quite the jump from base PS4. I do expect the ps5 to be much better as far as 4k goes though. Hoping it’s backwards compatible and I can get a couple hundred for my pro.

Not a chance in hell Horizon 2 comes out in Fall 2019 or even Fall 2020. Simply no way. Three years won't be enough time for a sequel that's simply going to be bigger and better than the original.

So you wanting PS5 in 2019 is so you can add more games to your backlog that will never be played? Hmmm, okay. LOL.

All jokes aside, I simply don't see Sony releasing PlayStation 5 in 2019. Just have to wait and see.

I really dont see how 2.5-3 years is not enough time for a horizon 2 there have been a lot of video game sequels and good ones at that made in that kind of time.

How long between Uncharted games? How long has it been since TLOU? GTA or Red Dead? It’s not always about how fast they can make them. Making games too often (outside of COD and sports games) is seen as killing the golden goose. And great first party games are seen as system sellers so you might only see one game per generation. Nintendo does a lot of that too.

I agree about the killing the golden goose thing but still 2 and a half to 3 years is not that fast though. Not a first party game but it was only like 2 years from batman Arkham aslyum to city. Not a first party game but still excusive games look at how many ratchet and clank games and how fast they came out and most of them where great games. You talk about Uncharted it was only around 2 years from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3. I am expecting we will get a Horizon zero dawn 2 between late 2019 and late 2020 on ps5. So yeah 2-3 years you can make a good sequel and not have it be a rush making a completely new IP is when things are going to take the longest has ever thing is like from scratch where with a sequel you can build of that. I am expecting spiderman will get a sequel in late 2021 or early 2021 on ps5 as well.

To be fair, there's a vast level of difference between the Arkham games and games like Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead, The Last of Us and Uncharted.

They could go the Assassin's Creed route but also remember that AC is Ubisoft - a major publisher and developer while Horizon Zero Dawn is Guerilla Games.

Despite the success Guerilla likely has everyone on HZD 2. Meanwhile Ubisoft has their next AC game in development while Odyssey was being built and likely already has started the framework for whatever comes after the sequel to Odyssey.
