Two calls later, she came to find me to pre order the PS4. Just an example of people knowing nothing about either console. They both will be great consoles but the problem is MS seems to have policies that conflict with most gamers interests.
Same here I work at Target and I overheard a woman asking the electronics guy about preordering the Xbox One. He didn't explain any of that to her. I then said to him you should at least explain about their policies now and he didn't even know about it.

I haven't heard. Is there any word on whether games have loading times, or have they largely eliminated them?

IMHO, given all the talk about instant access, about the systems processing and ram powers, as well as about the cloud benefits, if there is anything but NO loading (at least not perceived by users), it would be a huge failure for this next gen.

That'll have to be a game by game thing, will depend on how they're made. Until they're maxing out these systems a lot more can be loaded into memory probably and minimize load times greatly... but don't think anything could be stated as a console feature.

While I agree, I think the number is much smaller than it used to be. People are informed now-a-days because of the internet, which is something everyone uses.

For instance, I was on Yahoo the other day, and they had an article up on why the PS4 had so much support as opposed to the XB1.

A few games (Dead Rising, I want to say?) mentioned specifically that there would be no load times in-game. I doubt that means when you're starting it up and everything though. I'm sure most developers have done away with them, for the most part. Doesn't seem like it would be necessary given the hardware and cloud devices.

Regarding the triggers (L2/R2 on PS) - way back, when the PS3 was first released, did it take you guys a while to get used to the "new" L2/R2 with kind of a cushioned depth resistance? I was a PS2 person (then 360) and never seemed to get used to the PS3 triggers in the little time I used it. Were they weird at first then normal quite quickly?

That number will be worthless when the systems are in full stride. Xbox will carry. When people actually know how the box works and word of mouth spreads about how good it really is, people will buy.

If anything I think the price is their biggest issue today. That and not being very clear on how things work. They are changing alot of tradition in gaming, they should have demoed the process of buying, sharing, etc so people knew exactly what to expect.

Yup, the journey won't matter as much if the product delivers. Then we can focus on things like game comparisons between consoles, PC, etc. and see how the hardware differences ultimately stack up in practice rather than theory.
