Not sure as to how many of my friends are moving over right away and what, if any, games I will still be playing by the time of release for the PS4. I have a pretty good gaming rig so I will still have a lot to go on if something goes wrong with the next-gen.

I don't understand why anyone would want to trade their system in when there is no backwards compatibility on the new consoles. I have a PS3 right now and have many games that I enjoyed this gen, that I would want to revisit in the future. Games like Red Dead Redemption, and the newly released Last of Us. Not to mentioned GTA V and Beyond Two Souls that will be coming out soon. I know Sony plans to use the Gakai service to allow us to stream PS3 games on the PS4, but who knows how long it will take and what games actually will be available through that service. I still have my PS2 and play it from time to time. Also how much can you even get for the system. I am sure Gamestop will not give much for it. I have never even thought about trading my PS3 in.

The PS4 is moving into HDMI 2. My PS3 will be staying right where it is.

We have a PS2 hooked up in our main room used for daycare and I tried playing it one evening. Turned it off pretty quick.

Now for games on 360/PS3 yeah I will continue playing for quite some time I believe as I can still stomach those obviously.


As far as trade in's you have to trade in when you have a the extra 50.00 coupon or when theres a special trae offer so you can get the best bang.
You can get decent deals if you look for them.

IF I get a XB1 then I have no Idea what I'll do. Maybe get an HDMI switcher....or hook Cable through the XB1 pass through..

But I seriously couldn't past the graphics long enough to play them. Some games we bought were fine, like the Hitman Series for example. But then going back and playing Vice City, Rainbow Six and etc. I couldn't handle it. Vice City practically gave me a headache. I'll keep my PS3 and I think a large part of the reason why is because the graphics in many of the games I play are at least good enough that I won't have to readjust from the PS4.

See, I'm the exact opposite.

I play my PSX/PS2/SNES games at least 10-times more than I play any of the new games (save for new PC games. I play those all day.)

Too much digital content on my consoles, some games I still haven't finished or started, so I'll keep them.

If either the PS4 or Xbox One were backwards comparable, I would. However, I'm not giving up GTA V, NCAA Football, and Borderlands 2 this quick. Plus, I'm leading towards going with the PS4 and I can still use the 360 for UFC, WWE, and WatchESPN which don't seem to be coming to PlayStation anytime soon.

Edit: I also want to add that most of the trade in prices I've seen are beyond ridiculous. I think Amazon was going to give me $80 for my 360. For $80, I'll keep it.

IDK about you guys but I'm DEFIANTLY keeping my XBOX 360. I regretted giving my PS2 to a friend. (He said it's been broken now so no point getting it back and memory card and other things are missing). All those memories I had on PS2 are pretty much gone now and I won't let that same mistake happen to my XBOX 360.

I think I'm gonna sell the Xbox and keep the PS3. It's a tough decision though since I have a year of xbox live left, plus I have skyrim on the xbox, and I really don't want to start all over on that. But I would get $50 more for the xbox, so who knows. I guess I'll have to decide in september when I buy GTA V.

I keep them because the amount you get for a trade in is usually piddly poop and not even worth the effort of unplugging it all and bringing it in.

I don't expect my 360 to last very long anyway - I've already been through 2 others (luckily they were covered when they died).

You can get a little more value for your console selling it on craigslist but the more I think about it the more I consider keeping it and putting it in my bedroom.
