What next gen system would you buy if this happen...

An article in Edge Magazine came out and quoted a developer working on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 about the power differences between the two consoles.
This developer stated that while it was quite easy for a PlayStation 4 game to run at 1080p in 30fps, the same game would need to run at 1600×900 (or 900p) on the Xbox One and at only about 20fps. That article sent fanboys on both sides of the console war into a frenzy, and it sparked concern that maybe Microsoft would use its money and power to pressure developers to downgrade their PlayStation 4 versions to match the weaker Xbox One.
Recently it was revealed that the high-profile Xbox One launch title Ryse is only running in 900p, which is sub-HD as far as these next-gen consoles go, and that gave the Edge article even more credibility. Today word from a European magazine reveals something scary may be happening with the new generation of gaming, and if you’re planning on buying a PlayStation 4 it should piss you off.
A poster at NeoGAF has discovered an article on French gaming site Gamingblog that puts forth something many people have feared.
The article says that a French developer (obviously Ubi-Soft) has downgraded the PS4 version of their big next-gen launch title (Watch_Dogs) due to a “political issue” as to not offend Microsoft, the manufacturer of the Xbox One. It also says a big US publisher is doing the same thing, and it’s speculated that the publisher that isn’t named is either EA or Activison.
This means that since the Xbox One can’t match the performance of the PlayStation 4, developers are purposely making the PS4 version of the game look worse just so Microsoft won’t complain to them that the Xbox One version is at a disadvantage technically. Microsoft cut corners on the Xbox One hardware in favor of stupid TV crap no one cares about, and as a result they have to pressure developers to bring their multi-platform games down to a lower graphical level just so people won’t see how much worse the $500 Xbox One is compared to their competitor that’s $100 less.
This is why I will not be buying an Xbox One.

This is a highly disgusting business practice and as Knight said, everyone involved should be ashamed if true.

I really don't want to believe this is true, but I wouldn't put anything past Microsoft.

Terrible practice if there's any truth behind it.

Regardless, I will be sticking with the PS4. Preordered at Best Buy along with NBA 2K14 next gen. November 15th will be a good day. Even if I hadn't preordered, this gives me more reason to buy a PS4 just on principal alone.

Third party games typically have parity across platforms. Why is this so shocking?

I don't believe this is true with Ubisoft but it does sound true regarding EA. Many conspirator theories regarding what Battlefield 4's final resolution and FPS is leading many to speculate Dice's decision that the retail version of Battlefield 4 for Xbox One and the PS4 would run at 720p and 60 frames per second. It was thought earlier that the PS4 version could run at 900p but has been brought down to 720p with the Xbone. You have to understand that EA has an exclusive partnership with Microsoft so it naturally won't make the one version tighter than the other.

However, Ubisoft has a partnership with Sony that includes additional hour gameplay and other perks and contents in regards to Watch Dogs. Rumors say that the PS4 will run Watch Dogs in 1080p while the Xbone is still a TBD. This may also apply to Assassins Creed too.

Daily video game news across Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo and PC.

I believe that Devs are still learning about the Xbone and have yet tapped into it. I mean they did get Forza to run at 1080p and 60fps right?

What's worst. This or a story that Sony used student labor to make the ps4 without pay?

                        First off...it's what's worse?
Second...you comment implies that Sony itself forced those students to make the console when it was the school that was using the students to do so and once Sony was notified of the practice, they are ensuring that the campus is in full compliance with the labor laws.

So I'll go with A...MS as worse.

MS uses the same company to produce xbox ones. This isn't even an argument of who's worse.

The fact journalists tried to single out Sony in this story is laughable. Almost everyone in the country owns a device that Foxconn assembled.

                            Interesting....

What is Foxconn?(It sounds like you have some knowledge on the subject).....
It looks like a manufacturing company.....so it seems as though the school sends students their to "learn" the manufacturing side of tech?....
It sounds like such an odd story.
