Re: Questions About Live TV on Xbox One?

Studbucket, you said over time your Kinect "learns" from your voice commands and that does seem to be the case....so I have a question.. I recently won $$$ on vacation and plan to purchase another Xbox One for downstairs...will the "learning" in regards to Kinect be a part of that Xbox and going forward will using one be shared with the other in that regards?

P.s.do you know of any special editions of Xbox One coming out soon? Like Sony has the white PS4 coming...I'd love to get an Xbox One that doesn't look exactly the dame as my Day One edition....

I've been aiming it more at the Xbox, but I'll mess with it a bit...

Just seems odd how my cable remote (I was able to add the soundbar to that) can work fine, but the media one seems a little off. Maybe the sound bar is confused by the IR of the remote, i'll test.

here's my living room layout now, so it should work fairly well. It's not a big issue, just something I happened to notice.

Yeah, that...it's been great! keeps it away from my sound bar, plus better vantage point for Kinect scanning.

I actually don't think it's accurate to say the Kinect learns over time, and sorry if I implied that. What happens is that the Kinect team is constantly working to improve accuracy. So your experience (when the Kinect is calibrated) should be the same across devices.

I'm not in the loop when it comes to special editions, sorry.

Any timeframe on boot to TV? I really want to use the TV functions but my family can't handle needing extra steps to get there...thanks!

No timeframe that I can announce. I'll let marketing/PR do that, so I don't get in trouble

Should I hook my receiver hdmi output to the Xbox one so all inputs go through the One?

Then run the Xbox one back to the receiver?

Our instead of that just run the Xbox one to the TV and use a toslink cable back to my receiver?

Or lastly just hook the Xbox one straight to the receiver and trea t it as any other input? The downfall there is all my stuff won't run through the One...

I would like it so the Xbox one overlay is available no matter what I'm doing if I can...

I use my Denon receiver as my "hub." Everything I have connects through HDMI to the ports in the back of my receiver (XBOX One, blu ray, PS4) except for my Direct TV which plugs into my XBOX one. I have had this setup since Day 1 and it has worked fine.

The only problem with that is I'd like my Wii U and Ps4 to be available for the Xbox one overlay menus rather than the cable box...
