Meh, I love my PS4 and all, but to be honest I think a huge con for both systems right now is that the game selection is pretty craptastic.

Because it has nothing to do with the thread. This is a very simple concept that seems to be escaping you.

If you don't have both systems and can't offer the insight others have, please stop commenting.

This isn't a debate thread about whether the console, either one, is worth buying but rather a comparison thread for owners of both systems..

Yeah...launch for both is rather weak.
Spring is going to be great for both....The Show for PS4 and Titanfall for XBone(for me)

One big PRO for PS4 for me so far is PS Plus.....getting Resogun and Don't Starve for free has pretty much paid for PS Plus for this year already. Negates the detractors of PS Plus IMO.

This man speaks the truth! While the game selection is slim right now for both systems - I have not touched my PS3 since I bought the XBO. And I had full intentions of going back and forth, because I still have great games to play on PS3 (DMC, Walking Dead Season 2, BF). But I havent had the desire.

One of the bigger pros for me is the controller. To me the 360 was the best controller of all time. That changed with the PS4 controller. It's just a massive improvement from the PS3 and just feels "right." MS didn't change much about the X1 controller but the changes they did make aren't all for the better. I do like the thumb sticks but the triggers aren't as good as on the 360 and the bumpers IMO are even worse.

Only downside to the PS4 controller is that glowing light.

I didn't think it would make that much of a difference to me, but I still play on my PS3 a lot and when I fire up the4....it's so much better(I know I can use my 4 controller....I'm just lazy

Yeah PS4 controller is quite the improvement over the PS3. The XBOX controller still ergonomically feels a tad bit better in my hands, but not much. Not a fan of the bumper buttons on XBO though. Trigger rumble is pretty sick on the other hand. Right now - PS4 Controller = XBO Controller.

I had to realize that you just kinda push part of your finger at the bumper, not move the entire tip of your finger to hit it. Sounds weird, but read this on some site and made me realize how I could hit the button easier.

Still see the point you guys made though.

Don't have much experience with PS4 controller.

Oh now I get it.

Truthfully I never had a problem with either controller last gen but always preferred the PS3 controller.

I picked up the 360 late in the cycle for the NBA 2k rosters might do that again if that's the way it goes down the road. But as long as the PS4 has The Show it will be my first buy. As for launch games there aren't really any worth dumping the 400-500 bucks at least for me.
My kid has the PS4 and while the graphics are an upgrade it most definitely does not make current gen games hard to look at.

Just browsing the thread. I miss posted before because I only own the XBox 1. I've played several games of BF4 and have yet to have any voice communication with ANYONE. My voice interactions in the past have been through shooters mostly, "Return To Castlewolfenstein" (2003 version) and the Halo games. Do you have to join a party to have voice communication? In the past, even 11 years ago with Wolfenstein it was automatic.
