    Re: PlayStation TV (PS TV)

I went back to my vita last night and used remote play for nba2k15 and I set the shooting to player% instead of user control and it was great. The lag seemed less than pstv and the frame rate seemed less choppy. Granted the screen is smaller but still. Overall better response and feel than pstv.

I bought one for ps4 remote play and there was too much lag. I sent it back to Amazon yesterday for a refund. Talk about a huge disappointment..

If you're not using it to play vita games on a bigger screen, then you're going to be disappointed. It's usless for anything else.

Ah, well then it just might be good enough for that. Problem is there are only four games which I could really play on it out of my game set (KillZone, The Show, Zen Pinball, and Sonic Racing).

I might have kept it if it supported the Vita games I have. Uncharted, LBP, ModNation, and Unit 13 are all incompatible.

They're working on expanding the list.

My question now is would I be better of just buying a VITA if all I wanted the TV for was for VITA games and PSOne/2 Classics?

The Vita games would be good for you because they play right off the device. I thought the video quality of the remote play was just fine on my 75" tv. I don't have any if the classics so I couldn't tell you. I wish the device came with a $10 PS Now credit or something to try out that service.

Sounds like Vita and Classic games work well on the device. If you're only going to play those games at home, I'd probably lean towards the TV over a Vita.

I still haven't tried mine. I might open it up later tonight and try it, at least for the Vita games.

It's a great machine for that I think....

Makes sense when the best thing it does is play just a subset of games from a console that's been half-discontinued.

Yeah, I would have been all over this if the streaming was good (and over WiFi)...I get how Wifi screws things up, but honestly they can't expect us to be able to hardwire stuff all over our house, you know?

Seems like you're way better off just buying a 2nd PS4 and using that in another room.

Yeah. I even had it hard wired (just like my PS4) and the remote play was still laggy. Not sure if an update can help improve the remote play feature but I just returned mine. Hope it can get better with regards to remote play.
