Completely understand. I got rid of Netflix, hulu, etc. when I got my android box. There are no monthly fees and I can literally watch anything I want(movies, tv shows, any sports in any area of the U.S.).

Re: PlayStation TV (PS TV)
Icicle22, I've always bought two just so i would have one upstairs and one downstairs. It's also a good idea if one breaks. I tried to figure out ways to get the second system workout paying out of pocket for it so because of that I don't feel any guilt about wasting money or whatever.
Like my second Xbox One I bought using casino winnings I won on vacation... Won $400 and that bought a second One.
For my second PS4 I am fixing to buy I sold my ps3 with all the games and controllers and stuff for $200 and I'm using a $200 gift card from work I got for completing a health program...Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Still, I wonder if I should be getting an Xbox one instead. I just don't know of any major reason to get one but having a duplicate system seems like a bit of a waste. Yet it's cool too. I still have 2 ps3s and use them both.Comment

Re: PlayStation TV (PS TV)
So I finally opened this and tried it out yesterday.
I tried the following Vita games:
- KillZone: Mercenary
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
- MLB 13: The Show
There was only the slightest, slightest delay that I could notice, and it was weird because the DS3 and DS4 had better "dexterity" in their sticks other than the Vita nubs so they were much more sensitive from small movements. Otherwise, it was nice to play things on the big screen. The problem is the games look like a mix between PSX and PS2 games on there, while they look great on Vita.
Then I tried HSG, WipEout 2048, LBP, and the Facebook app only to be turned around saying that they won't operate with PS TV. I suppose that makes sense, but there's an option for your controller to act with touchscreen controls should it choose to, so that's kind of strange. Regardless, I don't have enough Vita games to justify playing it for that reason, and they don't really make Vita games anymore. Finally, it was kind of a hassle just to transfer over my memory card for that.
So, I go ahead and try Remote Play. I try out KillZone: Shadow Fall and Zen Pinball 2. Because my PS4 is on the same TV, I switch the inputs back and forth, and realize how much is lost in quality, framerate, and especially input lag, which is the killer. I was hoping this could serve as a substitute on another TV "just in case," but I'd actually much rather just buy another PS4 if it came down to it.
It's depressing, because it really is an impressive piece of hardware. Maybe if PS Now was cheaper I could find much more use for it, but I was perfectly fine returning it last night as well. But again, it's a shame that this and the Vita won't really have the liftoff that it could have had.Last edited by Blzer; 01-07-2015, 01:38 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: PlayStation TV (PS TV)
My brother ended up getting me a PSTV for xmas. Had one at launch that I promptly returned due to poor Remote play functionality. Since I received it as a gift this time around, I decided to keep it and try it out. I read that there was an update (3.35 I believe) that people were claiming fixed remote play functionality so I wanted to give it another shot last night. Much to my surprise, remote play worked great and a lot better than when the PSTV first launched. I didn't get any drop in connection this time around. Played a game of Madden and there was just the slightest of lag and nothing game breaking. Im sure this wont translate well with a game like the show but for Madden the game looked great and played great IMO using the PSTV.
Here is my set up.
PS4 hardwired to my router in my office
PSTV hardwired to a power line ethernet adapter in my living roomPSN: ckarlic

Yeah. I havent tried Shadow of Mordor yet. I will try it out when I get the chance as well as WWE 2k15. WWE 2k15 has a counter system as well that relies heavily on timing.PSN: ckarlic

Re: PlayStation TV (PS TV)
I am considering getting one of these to play/stream netflix in my bonus/workout room so I can do more than take my laptop in there each time and hook the hdmi in for NF.
Since the update has wifi to wifi connections improved? (PS4 on wifi and PStv on wifi)
I had a vita but the remote play was dropping far too often, since I got rid of it though I got a new router that has improved my PS4's wireless connection.Comment

I also didn't realize that the ps tv costs $80 (according to best buy and amazon) now as opposed to $100 when it first came out.PSN: ckarlic
