I had thought BenQ was kinda strange at first but I had gotten used to the brand name and now I like it a lot.

Zowie now? Wtf, that sounds like some show on Nickelodeon smh.

Same monitor, Zowie just cost more. Grab the BenQ if you can find it.

It's great for FPS type games.

PSA for those looking at 4K monitors

Make sure that you buy a 4K monitor that allows 2.0 via HDMI or else your XB1 S or PS4 PRO will not be able to output at 4K to match the monitor

Many 4K monitors have 4K hdmi 1.4 and some only allow 2.0 via display port

So make sure the monitor you buy allows HDMI 2.0 for 4K 60hz

What resolution will the PS PRO output if the monitor only has hdmi 1.4? 4k 30hz?

The consoles will output at 1080p 60hz because the hdmi on both consoles is only 2.0 so if the input on the monitor only allows 1.4 which is 4k 30hz then your next available output is 1080p

xbox and pro do not do 4k 30hz so no dice there

                  Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

I am considering buying the lg 27ud68 4K monitor for my PS4 pro. It has hdmi 2.0 which should be fine for 4K at 60Hz. But I've read conflicting reports about whether it will display 4K at 60hz with the pro. Some are saying it's only 4K 30hz. Anyone have this monitor or have any idea if it will display 4K at 60hz? If it won't, I'm not buying it.

The issue there is that many owners have 4K tvs that do not do HDR and if tht is the case you would get 4K YU instead of 4K RGB

They can fix the issue by going into the service menu options and selecting resolution for hdcp 1.4 to fix issue

2 questions for you if you don't mind

                          1. Do you have PS4 Pro or Xbone s hooked up to it? If so how does it look

                          2. What is the input lag on this monitor?

lag input for that monitor is 5ms.

Monitors mostly all have low input lag so no worries there. Response time is how fast a pixel shifts in color that reduces overshoot on objects

5ms and lower is recommended for gaming monitors... Lower the better

Thanks to both of you for your responses, really thinking about picking up a 4K monitor as I know buddies of mine swear up and down by monitors, especially when it comes to fps games
