Thanks, I put the ULTRA HD Deep Color on. What do you do with the motion settings? I cannot remember what they are called as I am not home right now, but I believe the choices are high, medium, low, and off. It looks like there is "artifacting" or some "ghosting" with it set to high. I put it on medium and it seemed better. And I am assuming you cannot use the Free Sync feature with HDMI? I read it is for the display port only.

I haven't had any ghosting at all on any setting I've used. I've stayed in the middle to high setting though. Thanks, I put the ULTRA HD Deep Color on. What do you do with the motion settings? Yeah, you need DisplayPort and a video card that's compatible. Most console games force v-sync anyway, so even if you had DisplayPort and a compatible card in the Pro, you wouldn't gain anything.Comment

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

I will say this, don't get caught up in the brand. Go by the specs. I owned AOC, BenQ, Asus, Acer, Samsung, Dell. Go by the specs. I prefer AOC because they usually are half the price but yet got the same specs as the household name brands. I remember a time Acer monitors use to be as cheap as AOC, but then Acer got big named esports and tech youtube stars to promote their monitors and Acer price tripled in a span of 2 years. Same thing is starting to happen to BenQ now. BenQ prices are on average $30 to $80 higher in price this year compared to last year.

Also have to consider what graphics card you have. If you have AMD, FreeSync monitors are 1/3 the price of Gsync monitors. Sure you can use a FreeSync monitor with a Nvidia graphics card, you just won't get the full benefit of the monitor.

I also prefer IPS over TN. But hey I gamed on TN for years before I switched to IPS and enjoyed myself, since most monitors are TN.Comment

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

If you are on the regular Xbox one or PS4 then I would suggest the Asus mx279h from BB or Amazon. 5ms response time, and scored the lowest input lag on TN or IPS monitors a year or so ago. This monitor was considered a sleeper monitor. Great colors, great total input lag(benq 10ms total; this Asus 12ms total) on an IPS screen! If you go to BB it will be paired up with a computer and will not be with the other monitors. Excellent purchase!! 259.00What world do you live in?Comment

I have this and love it with the pro. with a little tweaking you can get a REALLY nice picture. I still see a little motion blur in some games, but overall really satisfied and I paid $399. I wouldn't hesitate at the deal.anyone have this? Tempted to snag one, eventually getting and XB1s

This is a great price for a 4K monitor but you cannot output 4K from the consoles as they do HDMI 2.2 from their HDMI and that monitor via HDMI only allows 1.4

So both the S and PRO will default to 1080p output

Is perfect for reg xb and ps4Comment

It says HDMI 2.0 output in the specs, I am clueless when it comes to these things. Don't know if that makes a difference or not.stay away from that monitor if you are using it for the PRO or XB1 S

Yea I seen mixed reviews on it as I was looking at it myself. The most reviews I've seen say that it only has hdmi 2.0 from hdmi slot 2, therefore that would be capable of putting out 4K @ 60. I don't understand how these monitors don't have more clear layout of their features. I guess it's about confusing the consumer and tricking them with the description

 Re: Gaming Monitor discussion

I apologize that is the newer model of their 4K line, the one I had was the D model which did not allow HDMI 2.0 only 1.4 but this one does in HDMI port 2

If plugging to HDMI 1 it does only 30hz which means it wont work for xb1 s or pro but connecting to HDMI to does....Just be careful because some people claim that it flickers in HDMI 2Last edited by NYGiants4Natic; 11-24-2016, 09:16 PM.Comment
