One great advantage that the PSVR version of The Mage’s Tale has over its PC counterpart is that at launch The Mage’s Tale on PC didn’t have smooth locomotion at all — it was all incremental stutter steps and snap turning. This version also includes the Arena mode, improved load times, and other features not included when it first hit Rift a year and a half ago. But now at launch on PSVR you have smooth locomotion as an option, although it starts out with stutter steps from the start. To switch just hold down options once the intro is done on one of your PS Move controllers, grab and drink the Options potion, then turn on Free Movement and Free Turning.

A PS4 Pro patch for extra optimization and enhancements is expected to release post-launch.

<b><big>Tetris Effect Weekend Trial Demo Returns This Week</b></big>

In response to this high praise, the Tetris Effect Weekend Trial Demo is returning this weekend from Feb. 8 to Feb. 11.

The demo includes three of the 27 total stages in the game’s Journey Mode as well as two game modes, Marathon Mode and Mystery Mode. Marathon Mode challenges the player to get the best score within a 150-line limit and Mystery Mode is the same as Marathon but with random effects.

The previous demo included both PS4 and PSVR versions of the game, so we assume that you will be able to play either way this weekend as well. In addition to the free trial, publisher Enhance says that the digital version of the game will be 25% off, though we don’t know if this deal ends at the same time as the demo.

My kids like VR but I don’t think I can handle it. Tried Ace Combat and it turned my stomach. It didn’t help that the developers are jerks and force you to use advanced controls which I don’t know and sucked at. Was doing barrel rolls by accident and not good.b

The vending machines are all messed up. Can’t see what’s in them most of the time. I gotta play some more but I definitely liked more than I disliked it just needs a patch to fine tune it but I’m not sure it’s happening.

Ace is definitely not a game for early VR starters. Its a game that you need to slowly dive into (excuse the pun) than many other vr games. I've slowly gained my vr legs with this game but it sure is not easy. Haven't played it in awhile due to the flu and with good reasons too.

Are you motion sickness on all games? There should be some games that is much easier on the brain than others. Batman? Moss? Do you get the same with Ultrawings?

Just a side note. BNE in an interview I read had the pilot ejection seat option in the game but not one of their testers was able to handle it falling to the earth so they had to scrap it. I still hope they add it in with a DLC

3 games due to release this week from The Drop. Going to keep my eye out on the reviews for all of them. (Eden Tomorrow, Intruders: Hide and Seek, and Xing: The Land Beyond)

First look at PSVR gameplay using the 3D Rudder and how practical it can be. Here, the player uses the 3D Rudder playing Red Matter for movement but you get the idea whether it can be handy in future games, especially if and when shooters maybe involved. Outerloop Games has posted a recent video explaining VR comfort settings for fast teleportation, strafing, and smooth turning which should please all types of players. It will support both PS Moves and the DS4 when released. Also, this tidbit from the Devs;

The falcon lands on your left hand and the left hand is mostly falcon controls like pointer and whistle. The whistle is a trigger press when your left hand is close to your face at which point it makes a whistle pose. It's not an actual whistle. Some people can't whistle as we found out. Also the bird follows you as you move through the world and will hover over your head sometimes landing at locations she finds interesting. She generally tries to stay close to you.

Just an FYI......The Kingdom Hearts VR Experience is now available in US and Europe PS Stores for download. Reviews were 'eh', but what the heck, it's free.
