Re: PS VR

    Sony announces 4.2M PSVR units sold and here's all the spring and summer games shown during the State of Play broadcast.

    Interesting info regarding Iron Man. Like many, I have worries about how the contents of this game will be when released. Those who have played The Avengers VR game or the Spider-man VR game know exactly what I mean. However, the devs stated that the game has been in development for over 2 years; I know it's the Dev giving us the info but some of it sounds promising.

    You play as the “genius inventor Tony Stark” who “confronts ghosts from his past”. According to the post, you’ll “come face-to-face with iconic allies and Super Villains as they jet around the globe on a heroic mission to save not only Stark Industries, but the world itself”. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Apparently this is going to be quite story-driven, so not just a bog-standard shooting gallery.

    “We have so much to reveal about the game and many fun development stories to tell, but we’ll save that for another day,” Payton concluded.

        Gearbox Software has announced that they will release an update for Borderlands 2 VR this summer that adds all the downloadable content from Borderlands 2 to the game free of charge. This, along with aim controller support makes this so much more attractive.

              Interesting new info regarding Iron Man VR......................

              Iron Man VR was one of the nicest surprises at Sony’s PSVR event last week. True, we already knew about the game, but many agree the reveal trailer didn’t do it much justice. When we actually played the game, though, we found something with a surprising degree of freedom, including 360 degree gameplay. Yes, on PSVR.

              How on earth does that work?

              As you probably know, PSVR is tracked by a single camera. This allows affords you 180 degrees of play space when using two Move controllers. Turn around, though, and the camera will lose sight on the Moves. But in Iron Man VR the player can spin around and fire off repulsor blasts seemingly free of concern. Camouflaj Studio Head Ryan Payton explained to GamesBeat how it pulled this off.

                New Dev information regarding Falcon Age. Naturally, I'm looking forward to having my bird do a little A$$ whopping myself. Will be picking this up next week.

                https://twitter.com/i/status/1113529471603068929

                Outerloop Games’ Falcon Age will feature a combat-free version of its campaign when it launches on PSVR next week.

                The developer revealed as much in a recent tweet. The team explained that, over the course of showing off the game at events in the past year, they’d noticed some players didn’t want to take part in the combat. In Falcon Age, you raise a loyal feathered companion and, eventually, take it into battle against a race of industrialized robots. However, since making these observations, Outer Loop has added in a version of the campaign where you don’t have to fight anyone.

                Named Imprint Mode, this version of the game offers the full story, but enemies will never notice your presence in the world. If you still want to smash them to pieces then go ahead, but you won’t be under threat at all. And, yes, it will still be possible to get the game’s platinum trophy in this mode.

                  Re: PS VR

                  The recently released news that the PS5 supporting the current headset was excellent news and the continued growing library that will move over even bests it.

                  I've recently purchased two $20 games, Falcon Age and Immortal Legacy: Jade Cipher. Just some thoughts;

                  Falcon Age
                  Waited a few weeks, then realized a major patch released; Now, diving in, loving it at the moment;

                  Immortal Legacy: Jade Cipher
                  Has lots of Uncharted in it and the whole experience seems very promising. Problem is it has a wonky control system. They decided to create something different that always worked in the past. Now, they've posted some solutions to use and a promise of a future patch. Might just try and adapt to controls and play through it.

                    Sony has filed a patent for a gyroscopic seat capable of rotating a player's entire body in relation to what they see on a VR heads-mounted display (HMD).

                    A patent filed with the US registry office claims that "there exists an apparatus to control user's posture by fastening the user to a seat and rotating the seat".

                            Just been reading an update regarding a psvr port of Zero Caliber. Sounds like they're being challenged by the process power of the PS4 as well as the move controllers but are still committing to it. Vive and Rift require two handed actions for their combat so the aim controller doesn't sound like a feasible option unless they rewrite the program. Looks more like a late 2019 to even a 2020 project if this project can ever happen since the PC VR release is still in early access. Still, respect Devs for their updates on this matter. PS VR 2 can't get here fast enough for me.

                            For those wondering what Zero Caliber is, it's a Co-Op Tactical FPS;
