    Re: PS VR

Many of these sites try to generate click-baits by painting a grim picture. LOL, It's been out what 4 months? And the Vive and Rift not even a full-year yet?

On another note, still no word from Sony on supply refills yet. You're unable to get a VR headset at a retail store with the exceptions of private/public dealers who have marked up the prices on them.

Also, noticed Microsoft just purchased Simplygon. That scorpio is sounding more and more as a supporting 3d/VR machine.

        Re: PS VR

        Don't think I'm jumping into RE7 now. Still going to wait for the Apollo 11 mission instead. Been reading some of the reviews released and the best tips for those who'll be playing Resident Evil in VR I'm hearing are;

1 - Move Controllers are almost a must for this game. You could still use the DS4 but the move controllers is the best way to play if you have them.

2- You should play the game standing up when you're walking around. Still to me, it all depends on the person and their threshold of nausea.

The immersion is a much more horrifying experience from the many reports so be prepared to get scared.

        ****Edit*****
Think I may have errored regarding the move controllers. UpLoadVR's review mentions there's no move support.

The demo made me "Drive Club" sick. It was one of the worst for motion sickness IMO.

I've not gotten sick at all, not even DriveClub VR but I've had some games make me quite dizzy but then I have health issues (low blood pressure) that cause me to be dizzy a lot of the time so I'm pretty used to that

Rush of blood with move controllers and a nice pair of headphones is fantastic. First time i ever really had a nervous feeling playing a game. Batman VR is also really well done. Just turning and checking everything in your surroundings is fun. Has anyone tried Resident Evil yet?

I still have to purchase move controllers and a good headset. Going to try Rush of Blood definitely this weekend.

On another note, Gamestop and Best Buy have PSVR headsets in stock.

Yeah I played the star wars, it was really well done. I think I prefer the batman and rush of blood though. I am not a huge start wars guy so the license didnt really add anything extra for me.

VR Education has delivered the following update on Apollo 11.

                          Hi Backers,
As you know we have been working on a PSVR version of Apollo 11 VR and had promised that it would be available this month. We are a couple of weeks behind on delivering this. We apologize for the delay as it took longer than expected to go through the Sony submission process but thankfully we have now passed all of Sony’s major checks and Apollo 11 VR is in final QA with Sony before release. We don’t have an exact date yet for release but as soon as we do we will let you guys know first.

Then after announcing the update, VR Education tweeted that the following VR Experience is coming soon to PSVR, HTC, and Oculus.

Japan Studio gave us all VR users a freebie today in the Playroom................

We added a brand new game to The Playroom VR and it’s available to download today. Best of all, it’s 100% free for all PS VR owners, so do make sure you grab it and give it a try.

The name is Toy Wars. It’s a four-player, cooperative, tower defense style game set in a base under the bedroom of our hero. You must shoot and smash waves of enemies coming at you without the VR player getting hit a single time. And as with other games in The Playroom VR, you can play Toy Wars alone in VR or with up to three extra friends helping you on the television. The player wearing the VR headset has different goals and objectives to those playing on the TV.

Dirt Rally VR is coming in a few weeks. No reports on other platform support at the moment so far.

We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be adding PlayStation VR support to DiRT Rally in the coming weeks! The PS VR functionality will give you a fully immersive off-road experience, with the upgraded game supporting every car, every route and every discipline within DiRT Rally.

Codemasters is planning an upgrade for DiRT Rally that enables PlayStation VR support as well as a co-driver feature in which a friend can use a second controller to send you calls. Talk about a trust exercise! While this will be sold as DLC, a new retail edition of Rally will have the add-on baked in.
