Re: Sony PlayStation Meeting Discussion Thread
If anything, that seems more likely to be TGS since most of the info is in Japanese. Don't want to see anything from Sucker Punch or Kojima. Seriously, im sick and tired of games getting announced years ahead of time.Comment

Re: Sony PlayStation Meeting Discussion Thread
Sony is still a Japanese company. Those games could be their Japan Developed First Party and Japanese Partners. Andrew House also speaks and reads fluent Japanese. (But again, grain of salt for now.)
On the Mass Effect and Rockstar thing:
Looks Like Mass Effect Andromeda Will Be at the PlayStation Meeting Today
head Alistair McNally is excited for the press conference, Mass Effect franchise Creative Director Mac Walters says to stay tuned for a potential announcement today, Andromeda Producer Michael Gamble is possibly teasing something for today, and Andromeda Gameplay Designer Manveer Heir says today is going to be a good day:Last month, EA’s Patrick Soderlund teased that we’ll get a look at Andromeda’s gameplay “in the not too distant future” and we’ll “see a lot more very shortly.” With the PlayStation Meeting expected to focus on the PS4 Slim and PS4 Neo, and EA saying they’ve been working on games for Neo, it’s possible Andromeda will be one of the games showcased on the new console.
Mass Effect Andromeda is scheduled for release in early 2017.
Sticking with PlayStation Meeting teases, a rumor popped up earlier this week that a Red Dead Redemption remaster would be at the event. It remains to be seen if he’s just re-iterating the rumor, or teasing an actual announcement, but Bungie Gameplay Designer Johan posted a tweet that seems to read Red Dead Redemption Rockstar PlayStation Meeting:Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 09-07-2016, 12:01 PM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Sony PlayStation Meeting Discussion Thread
Sorry to be the one that breaks it to you but Sucker Punch is currently working on a new IP. After three games and two DLC add-ons, like Guerrilla Games with Killzone, Sucker Punch is said to be tired in regards to working on Infamous. They want to do something different which is where the new IP comes into play. Either way, I don't want to see or hear from them until E3 2017 at the earliest. I'm just sick and tired of Sony announcing games that are literally years away. Really wish publishers copy Bethesda (Fallout 4) and Ubisoft (Watch Dogs 2) when it comes to announcing, revealing and releasing games.
Sony is a Japanese company but the games division isn't as they moved all their studios to California a few months ago when the name change from SCE to SIE became official. Plus, except for Polyphony Digital, all of Sony's first party studios work in NA or other countries. I know about Andrew House. First found out about that when he announced and revealed Kojima earlier this year.Sony is still a Japanese company. Those games could be their Japan Developed First Party and Japanese Partners. Andrew House also speaks and reads fluent Japanese.

It might not be Andromeda. It could be a re-mastered ME Trilogy which to be perfectly honest, im shocked that EA didn't already do this.
Yeah, I read about the RDR re-mastered rumors but I see it unlikely. RD3 has been in development for at least three to four years already, a few things have leaked like the map and RDR was just released a short time ago on Xbox One backwards compatibility which to me eliminates them doing a re-master. Personally, they should just go straight to Red Dead 3.
Like Fallout 4 a year ago, the market is ripe for RD3 simply because outside of BF and COD which will always sell around the 10m mark, there's not a single game that's going to come close to that mark. RD3 comes out this year and it just like that becomes the top pre-ordered game and outsells pretty much everything.Last edited by daniel77733; 09-07-2016, 12:15 PM.Comment

Re: Sony PlayStation Meeting Discussion Thread
If SP unveils the new IP couldn't it potentially be as close as 2017? I was looking at the time in between their last 4 releases and 3 years seems like the standard time.
Either way, anything from SP will be fine with me as I love all their stuff.
EDIT
Wait, isn SP making the new Spider Man game? Or am I mixing things up hereLast edited by The JareBear; 09-07-2016, 12:18 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Sony PlayStation Meeting Discussion Thread
Possible but unlikely. Infamous Second Son released in March 2014. The add on First Light released in August 2014. From there, it's been only two years. I would say that their next game is at least two years away minimum and if that's the case, I don't want to see it until next year's E3 at the earliest or PSX 2017.
Don't forget that their previous releases were all in the same franchise so the turnaround is quicker. A new IP takes usually double the time minimum. Look at Guerrilla Games, Horizon has been in development since 2010. It will be give or take seven years once Horizon gets released. New IP's take a lot longer and Sony is very laid back in this regard as they will give their first party studios pretty much all the time they need. The only time they haven't was the recently cancelled game from Sony Santa Monica which led to the Rasmussen guy leaving and going to work for EA.

It is not real anyway (confirmed by source), so do not get too worked up.

Re: Sony PlayStation Meeting Discussion Thread
If Sony does in fact at some point announce and reveal a new portable handheld, there's no chance that they call it Vita or have anything related to it. That would be stupid. Sony would want to distance themselves from it as much as possible but while at the same time, admitting their mistakes and just being focused on games, games and games. Similar to their PS4 reveal when the admitted their screw ups with PS3.Comment

Re: Sony PlayStation Meeting Discussion Thread
One thing they just mentioned, that I find somewhat interesting, is Sony's approach moving forward after today as far as not alienating the "vanilla" PS4 user base, specifically posing the question "how much footage shown at conferences moving forward will be NEO vs base, will footage have to be labeled NEO vs base, etc."
