Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
I think my plan of buying up all the Wii U games I wanted to play and waiting on the Switch... is what's going to happen.
I just don't have the warm and fuzzies anymore with Nintendo to warrant a day 1 investment.

I agree, I plan to do the same thing. Nintendo needs to prove they are into this system for the long haul and that it will work before I jump on board.
I'm not wasting a bunch of money that could go towards gaming software on the two major platforms for something that may end up a failure like the Wii U.

Its Nintendo.
Which means new Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, and hopefully Animal Crossing games.
Ok, well same for me, I just wondered why day one? I will get one for sure if it succeeds and hopefully I can get like a Mario themed red collectors branded edition or something. I'm just afraid it's going to be like the Wii U so I'm going to see what happens.

Sounds like a plan.
I have bought every new Nintendo console on Day One and can't imagine this time being any different.
In fact I know it won't be any different.

Yet the WiiU just now at it's death year probably... will finally get a new Zelda...
We've gotten no Animal crossing, Metroid etc....
I LOVE Nintendo... I really do.
However they will have to bring the games first this time and not another console of "Hopefully this year we'll get "Insert game here" "

No doubt the WiiU was a huge disappointment as far as games are concerned, but I still enjoyed it.
I am confident that the Nintendo Switch will introduce the games that the WiiU failed to deliver.

Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017
I'm not sure what launch game there needs to be for me to get the system at launch. The Animal Crossing series is a top 5 game of all time for me, so obviously that would get me to buy the system day one without any other games. If the game launches with either Zelda or a non-side scrolling Mario, and a release schedule of upcoming games, I'd probably get it at launch as well. I won't get anything but Nintendo exclusives on the console, so I'll need to see the release schedule.

Honestly I think Nintendo should go all in on this being a "tablet traveling" console and not even worry about the in ho,e stuff, which i doubt they will ever reclaim.
The idea of having NBA 2k## (or any AAA title) on a fully mobile tablet for traveling is the most intriguing aspect of this console for me.
