Re: Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017

Is there a video or article that correctly explains the new Mario?

All I've seen is video of Mario running around in a city and then comments like: "Mario is going to be able to do Mario things in many different worlds!" Yet, nothing about him being in the city in any videos I've seen involve any Mario-like things. He's just running around.

So what am I missing? The game looks awful from my limited experience.

Probably see more at E3. I agree in regards to Mario in the city with humans. Looks good for what it is but doesn't fit at all. I do like being able to use his hat as a platform for jumping gaps.

The rest of the game however looks ******* great!!! Love the forest/underwater world. Hell yeah!!!

Zelda looks great. Will definitely be buying that for Wii U at launch.

As far as the switch I'll start entertaining the idea of getting one when Nintendo gets it together and can actually produce enough to keep it on shelves. Maybe there will be games for it by then too.

Who has this content of the other worlds?

I swear I can't find it. I feel completely lost and I have no idea why I'm having so much trouble finding video of these other worlds.

I'm going to try again now. Maybe now that I know what the worlds are, I can focus my search.

Okay I found the trailer that I now remember having seen. I guess I'm not impressed.

I need to see more. I miss Super Mario World type games. I never cared for Mario 3D so that's where this loses me

Looks amazing and like the best Mario ever made from what I have seen!

This is precisely how I feel.
When this console reaches $200 and has a deep library, I'll consider diving in.

And this is something I hope they adjust eventually:

...on Nintendo Switch, it means you have a month to play the game and then it’s no longer available, you’d need to buy it to continue playing.
                That's bogus.
It should be similar to the system XBL and PSN offer.
You get a month to download the game and then it's yours for free, forever.

I know it's all about profit, but Nintendo's level of gouging is beyond their competitors.

I wish Nintendo would move away from all the gimmick controls. No one I know likes to feel forced to develop a game based on a gimmick, versus developing a game for fun first.

This system will fall flat on its face just like the Wii U did. The only thing this system will offer gamers is a few amazing first party titles. After that, will be filled with nothing but afterthoughts, remakes, and shovel-ware.

The only way I see them pulling this off is to offer a much more robust digital offering of retro Nintendo titles, Nes / Snes / 64 / Gamecube etc. Nintendo makes first party games at such a glacial pace that unless you are satisfied with maybe 1 or 2 games a year that is a must buy, then this system is not for you.

Personally I would love to see Nintendo go back to its roots and just make some great games again and rebuild its brand. Right now its just crashing and burning.

Arms just looks to have no lasting appeal to me. I have a feeling a short time after the new wears off it will get boring very fast

I could be wrong but it seems like that type of game.

I also think we should get to keep the classic games each month but you have to remember Nintendo is only charging half at most what PSN and XBL charge for a year. Maybe if they put discounts on them it would make it well worth it

Primarily how I think of overwatch and conitunue to look at it. ARMS has that overwatch cartoon feel but it works with punching which more suited to its arts style

But again it's me what i think anyway looking forward to it

I was not a fan of splatoon on Wii U but switch has changed my mind about the series so I'm looking forward to it as well

I only got to play Splatoon a time or two at a friends house. Seemed pretty fun

ARMS seems like the ultimate party game. It looks fun as crap, but not sure how long it would last playing by yourself.

No clue about eshop. I bet they are hard at work trying to make it work?

They've already said that games made for wii u can not be simply ported over due to wii u hardware /tech engines and the switchs NVidia system. the switch might be more powerful but app it might take a pc porting in order tog et games from wii u over to switch.

games currently doing this are fast racing rmx which the dev had to port over and further optimize and then we all know of Mario kart 8 deluxe which again developers further tweaked to really get 60fps at 1080p on it...

Id only want 3 wii u games ported over even untouched just a switch version would be enough
