Well, there is at least potential for one of those to happen (spoiler: it's not the price point.)

If $50 is killing your drive to pick one up, don't do it.

My son wants Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so I kept my preorder. I've logged more hours than him though... Might pay the $20 for Snipperclips or whatever it's called, the demo was super fun to play with him.

Has there been a version of Blaster Master in America since the original NES one? I never owned the game but my cousin did and I remember having a blast with it.

Nintendo Switch Announced, Scheduled to Release March 2017

I bought the felt pads. Works perfectly. They are 1/2" wide, 12,7 mm. Bought them at Michael's. Everywhere else was too thick. Made by Scotch.

I'm waiting for the same price point.... and a sports game to go with it.

Good to see everyone enjoying their new Switch though.

Yeah, like 4 or 5 of them I think.

Blaster Master 2 was on Genesis, then there was a Gameboy Color, PSX and Wii game that all came out in NA off the top of my head.

Yeah it has nothing to do with the complete lack of games at launch or the fact that Nintendo hasn't had a healthy third party library in how many years? The same company that bailed on the WiiU while offering little to no support on top of it leaving their paying customer base holding the bag with a paper weight that lost it's luster quickly. You can love the system and Nintendo all day, nothing wrong with that, but to act like anyone who didn't buy it simply didn't due to lack of "confidence" is ridiculous and I could sit here and say the only reason you did buy it is because of your blind love and Nintendo can do no wrong attitude. I had a WiiU and I already played Mario Kart 8 so that isn't a selling point, I'm not a big Zelda fan at all so for me we get Nintendo systems for Mario and not much else, I see no Mario game so my Wife and I had zero interest.

As for comparing PS4 and the Switch, I do enjoy the Sony exlcusives but they also boast a robust third party library of games that I also enjoy, the same can't be said for Nintendo.

As for the whole asking a girl out analogy, that made even less sense.

I'll say this, I bought this console for my 6 year old son and I agree there's no games right now. Besides Zelda there's absolutely nothing to buy worth it. Nintendo should've at least released this console with a MARIO game as well. I'm scratching my head at Nintendo releasing this console with one good game to buy. And now these pics surfacing showing scratched screens is also a head scratcher. Hopefully Nintendo actually gets better 3rd party support for this console.

Have to agree I love the console and what it can do but besides Zelda there is absolutely nothing worth playing longer than a hand full of times

I wish it had a Mario game or at least Virtual Console(for me anyway) so I had some more games to play. At least Zelda is awesome though a long game

But if it didn't have that game this launch would be just trash

And I know it's not popular, but I never got into Zelda. That is the leading reason why I backed out on pre-order. Figured I would wait for a game I want, plus by then they might have some deals.

Either way, I am happy that Zelda looks so good. Personally that's promising for later on for games I would be interested in

I do have to say that it makes me kind of wonder how the scratching possibility wasn't fool-proofed before release. I am sure a lot of people will never scratch their screen while docking during the entire Switch cycle, and while it is up to the consumer to be careful, I have to think that people shouldn't have to worry about docking the screen perfectly every time they do it with little room for error.

Not sure what I wrote here makes sense. Sorry if it doesn't. It sounded right in my head.
