Personally, I would love to see the original 1998 Metal Gear Solid get a remake and I don't mean Twin Snakes.

I do see the June 4 reveal as a possibility. It is just 3 weeks away. But I still feel there will/could be a hardware reveal this month. While getting hardware and game reveal all at once could be exciting, there is a thing as too much information at once. I feel like a good way to do it is reveal console mid next week and 2 weeks later the games reveal. With Console reveal they can show off console, controller, console features, and tech demos.

I kind of think the june 4th thing don't make scenes. There is a magazine coming out on June 2 that is going to talk about ps5 games and from the sound of that it sounds like we would have to get games announcements before then.

About that tech demo and it being 1440p and 30 fps got to remember a few things.

        1. They started working on that just in September and it was supposed to be shown in march at GDC. So it was only worked on for 6 months.

        2. There were some 8k textures in there and most likely games will not have that and i am sure that makes things more taxing.

        3. Games always get to looking better later in a gen and get optimized better.

I don't believe that Sony will separate the hardware reveal and the game reveals unless one or the other isn't ready to be shown. Sony did show the console and some other games back in 2013 at E3 for PS4.

At this point, I just want to see the actual games, actual gameplay and the launch lineup. And of course, the release date and price tag.

I agree with the three points you make in regards to the tech demo. I disagree with the magazine rumor because that magazine would already be printed and subscribers would get it two weeks or so earlier than newsstands. Also, I don't really see Sony revealing their console and/or games in a magazine when they could just do a State of Play, blog post or basic reveal trailer on YouTube.

Not sure about the like 2 weeks early thing but my point is from the sound of things it sounds like the magazine is going to come out on June 2, and talk about ps5 games, and yes they are not going to first talk/show ps5 games in a magazine meaning they would have to like announce the games first before that. So say end of may, and then like a few days later the magazine would go more into detail about what Sony has already shown.

Just to clarify something with point 2, texture resolution doesn't really impact performance, at least in terms of framerates. They just clog up VRAM, but if the textures in that demo were only 2k instead of 8k, the performance would be just about the exact same. This is why most modern GPUs can run every games' max texture settings, but have to turn other effects down. The textures don't do anything, but eat up VRAM. They don't impact framerates except for maybe 1 or 2 frames here and there.

It's getting to the point now, almost June where Sony needs to put something out to get the hype train rolling for them. Hint at a bunch of games, the actual hardware, etc.

While I don't believe that Gran Turismo 7 will be a PS5 launch title, I do believe that it will be shown if/when Sony has their reveal event.

I have never played the GT games but i know they are popular and racing games tend to do a good job showing of a new consoles graphics. I don't play a lot of racing games. I would love a drive club 2 though but yeah i know that can't happen with that studio being shut down and all. But yeah a new GT at launch would be big if true.

While looks like the GT thing is fake but who know's maybe it will be a launch game even if that part was fake. https://www.kotaku.com.au/2020/05/gr...ny-apologises/

You know i think ps5 games reveal when we have it on june 4th if that rumor is true, or if we have it before or after i think its going to be big. 1. New console gen. 2 like i have said before i think ps5 is in shape to have a better launch lineup then normal because of the fact its been over 3 years now since Horizon zero dawn came out, and will be 2 since spiderman. 3 Its been a while since we have really had new games announced by Sony. The last several years have basically just been updates on games we already new about such has TLOU2, GOT and if you go back far enough spiderman, Horizon. Last time Sony really announced a lot of games was back in like 2016, and with Sony skipping last e3 and other shows and such i am sure they have been working on a lot in the last several years.
