If we don't see the system by the end of June i think its getting pushed to next year. Yeah the virus has changed things for sure but even before Sony was doing things different then before. I known last year like Sony didn't have like a lot but they skipped e3 and didn't do PlayStation experience for second year in a row. Also the first wired article or what ever that Sony did for ps5 was like march-April of 2019 don't remember but that was a surprising way to give first ps5 news and that was like a year and a half or so before ps5 release date. So yeah even before Virus Sony was doing things different. Looking back i kind of wish we had not gotten that first article has it only made it harder to go with out ps5 news after, and only made it seem like they were going to give more big details about ps5 sooner then they have.

Pretty much agree with everything you said. Seems like changes within Sony over the last two years for not only management but also with how they give us info and instead of shows, went with State of Play videos.

When did the internal changes in regards to leadership start to happen again? Was it before or after that first ps5 article? I don't remember. But yeah its just getting hard to stay stay patient. Like a month or so ago Sony said they were giving news like they did back in 2013 with ps4 or something but really they are not has we got game news like i said in feb of 2013 for ps4. Right now we are already about 2 months later compared to ps4 2013 when it comes to being shown games. But yeah maybe that is because of the virus to not really sure.

The main guy who left was Shawn Layden and that was last September so after that first article but they did have a few other articles after him leaving. My guess is that it's not only the leadership changes that's affecting their plans but also if the overheating rumors are correct and the form factor isn't working, I would assume that Sony won't show the console until they are set on a form factor.

With all the things being canceled this year its going to be interesting to see how next gen games/announcements are handle this year from different studios. I heard we where going to finally get the next batman arkham game shown/announced at e3 before it got canceled and maybe what ever rocksteady is working on to. Like are we going to get that in late may now instead? or still around normal e3 week time? Or will it be later. Like what about ps5 exclusives for launch. I also wonder if we are going to get PlayStation experience back this year or not. I could see Sony in late may or early June showing off games that should be ready by launch or very shortly after like the launch window games, and then maybe bring PlayStation experience back in December to give us a update on the launch window games, and also then showing/announcing more like late 2021 type of games and maybe even a few teaser's of what may came beyond 2021.

I would think maybe May or June would be where they reveal a few PS5 games and whatnot. I'm expecting games to be spread out the next few months in regards to third parties and possibly even Sony first party games. I don't see Sony have a PSX event at all. Doesn't seem like they will be doing anymore live events.

So we are getting ps5 games shown in May for sure! This news just came out. The magazine goes on sale June 2 and is going to have info about ps5 games. So we know we are going to get ps5 games news before that comes out and digital version of the magazine may be out a few days before the June 2 time.

That makes sense its before E3 week where games will still be shown. Its also before the major games coming out in the summer.

I do think that we see the PS5 reveal within next 2 weeks. Tuesday's and Wednesdays are usually the days Sony reveals stuff. I think we'll get the console design and teardown, then games.
There are even rumors that the next Assassins creed will be revealed today.

PS4 was officially announced at the PlayStation even in February 2013 while the console wasn't revealed until E3 2013. I would say that if Sony doesn't show the console before June ends, then I wouldn't be surprised if PS5 gets delayed to 2021.

I do agree with you in regards to lack of reveals and info being for me disappointing. Regardless of how Microsoft's third party showcase ends up being on Thursday, at least they're giving us a games showcase which Sony hasn't done since E3 2018.

No it was not ps4 got its first news in feb of 2013 and came out in November of that year. So yeah not even close to 3 years but yeah we are getting news later. Ps4 got its game news in feb that year, and with ps5 we are now in may coming up on 3 months later in comparison for game reveals. I think the big thing besides like 3 months is that ps5 we have gotten little bit of news at a time were ps4 was basically all at feb and e3 and also we got first ps5 news in thee wire article back in like april of 2019. So we got are first ps5 news sooner then ps4 meaning like the gap was longer/worse.

Not knowing much outside of basic specs, controller, a couple of multi-plat games within 6-7 months of launch, is crazy. But once they do a major reveal, its not going to matter at all. After the current gen, Sony wasn't in the same position to need to prove its self like Microsoft had too. I don't have doubts that they delay since they are openly saying games like AC Vahalla is coming to PS5. Sony is just being tight lipped and building up hype. Or people can see it as Sony resting on its laurels.

I do feel like within next 3 weeks we'll see a hardware reveal/teardown. If they do reveal 1st party games in June, than I would expect them to do a hardware reveal. But since Microsoft is showing off multiplat games running games on next gen hardware, that is good enough for me.

Seriously, it's like when I thought Toy Story 4 couldn't up the gamut much more than Toy Story 3, yet I think it took the largest visual leap of all of them.

It just goes to show how much farther we can go, but we are limited by the artists at play. I mean seriously, how long do you think it takes to create these things? That statue alone would take me two years.

I'm super impressed, and it really wows in 4K. But how would the next Xbox compare to this when it comes to capability? That is an interesting question in and of itself.

Also, is that a game in development, or just a demo? If it is a game, what is it?

This is just a demo, and Xbox would likely be the same.

Interested in how this demo would translate to lesser environments, as that's a stated feature.
