I did read this nice upgrade for next gen: “ You know how PS4 patches often require just as much free space before it can download and install? With the PS5, this will be a thing of the past - requiring only the space you actually need for updates.”.

Currently my PS4 has 110 GB free on the HDD and can’t download the latest Destiny 2 patch. It is so stupid. There is actually 90 GB free and 20 GB in the digital wasteland of “Other” that is blocking a patch. But this type of nonsense should not exist next gen and I hope so. Right now around 100 GB is used on OS and then you need another 100 GB free for large game patches. That would have meant only 600 GB for game space on PS5.

This smart delivery mindset will save bandwidth too

Sony has confirmed there is no free upgrade or upgrade path for Spider-Man owners on PS4. The PS5 Miles Morales Ultimate Edition must be purchased to play Spider-Man: Remastered.

If you buy Miles Morales on PS4, you'll get the upgrade free on PS5, or you can paythe $20 to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition to get Spider-Man: Remastered.

So media outlets are starting to get the xbox in to give hands on impressions about the system now. So I would think ps5 is not too far behind then. So I expect to start getting some impressions either by end of next week or week after that.

Doubt we'll see impressions of either console for a few weeks. But we'll see soon enough what embargoes allow. Feel like we still have so much to learn about the PS5.

After restarting my gamefly account today for $1 now I'm thinking if I should skip the digital console. I haven't bought a physical copy in years, but today I was able to rent 2 games I didn't want to buy but I get to try them out and possibly end them before I have to send them back.

Might be a little bit but it cant be too long. Like we are about a month and a half away from systems coming out and it would not really make sense for media to get it this far ahead of time if they cant say any thing in till only like a week before systems come out lol.

There's still a lot more information we need to know about PS5. With Xbox, we virtually know everything about it. We just need to see more Series X game play(which we should very soon) and probably small convenience features not yet talked about. With PS5, we still need. Teardown, UI, more info on Backwards Compatibility, Software features, PSNow, convenience features, and more.
I would imagine NDAs would permit what youtubers can say, but there will still be leaks

Wasn't impressed with those "hands on" previews since it was in a controlled environment. I really don't understand why Sony hasn't given Greg Miller and Keighley for example Prototype PS5 units. If Microsoft can send them each an Xbox Series X despite them being massive PlayStation fans, why wouldn't Sony?

And it seemed like you had to press and hold the circle button to respawn. I wonder what happens if you wait 30 seconds or so before pressing and holding the circle button to respawn.

I think I read that IGN didn't get their hands on the PS4 until a couple weeks before launch. I agree that at this point with a month out, the lack of communication does need to stop. Still need UI/Features, Backwards Compatibility info, PS Now, etc. I do feel that we'll hear more in the coming weeks

I think that holding down the circle button is essentially skipping the "tips" screen you typically see when you die. I think the goal was to show how fast you can respawn. It might be a situation where you have to push circle to respawn. But as you said, this was a very controlled environment. I doubt they had any freedom to do what they wanted.

The Godfall camera was awful. Never centering on the enemies although I think it was more related to an awful gamer who looked clueless initially and probably wasn’t panning right. I stopped watching.

I came in deadest to get a PS5 at launch and It looks like now I'll be waiting a month or two. I'm wanting to buy from GameStop because I have some gift cards I need to use. It appears like the decision has been made for me as I've been unable to find one. Maybe the 2nd wave that's manufactured will have less issues or at least less confusing about what's going on.

The other issue is of the 3 main games I was going to buy at launch issues have came up with

Watch Dogs Legion - The physical ps5 disk doesn't come out until late November. I don't want to wait that long even if I'm able to find a ps5 so I've just preordered it for ps4. I can just save the ps5 and permadeath to make the 2nd play through unique.

NBA 2K21 - The updated rosters will not be ready at launch since the offseason wont be complete

Spiderman Miles Morales - I just finished my 2nd play through for the original so I wont need to replay the remaster. Even though I want to play the new one Its not the end of the world to wait. It also being on the ps4 hurt a little.
