I wonder if there's any value in the 3:1 conversion of EA Play to Game Pass when they switch over....i'm not a EA Play member yet, but tempted to buy a year at 30 if it's worth it.

I saw that but I wonder if it’s just for media or is it going to be for games too. Specifically Dolby Vision

Holy crap...didn't know CDPR was gling to implement Dolby Vision into Cyberpunk 2077.

Here's a question though - can a game like Cyberpunk 2077 have both Dolby Vision and HDR10 or is it just one or the other? Thanks.

It's one or the other. Two completely different technologies so to speak.

You also have to have a Dolby Vision capable TV to utilize it.

Dolby Vision cannot be on same game as HDR10

I suspect Dolby Vision is going to come to many if not all MS exclusive games and some third party triple A games that they have a deal with

Many will do HDR10 since that is the standard and what most have

But if your tv can do Dolby Vision then you will be in for the best HDR experience in gaming ever if the game supports it

But the fact that Dolby Vision and Atmos can be on the same game makes that game soooo much more immersive

One thing to keep in mind is that there is a strong chance that games with Dolby Vision HDR will not be able to do Free Sync

I want to build a PC so damn badly but man, the Series X just keeps sounding better and better for my needs.

I picked up a LG CX back in June, and it pairs up so damn well with the Series X. Its 4K, its 120hz, it has great HDR performance, great input lag, AND it has Dolby Vision. I told myself I'd skip the consoles and just get a PC, but $400 vs $2,000 is a HUGE difference considering I'd be building a Ryzen 9 3900x - RTX 3080 system if I were to build one.

You guys just hyped me up even more than I already was. I'm getting the LG CX 55" OLED delivered today. In fact, it's on the truck and will be here between 12pm-6pm EST.

If I could fast forward two months to get to November 10th, oh man, I so freaking would. Hehe.

                        Thanks guys for the information.

I can only imagine how Cyberpunk 2077 will look on the CX OLED in 2021 when they do their "full next gen upgrade". Oh man!!!

Yea the series X is going to be a monster and these games look insane on OLEDs especially when HDR is well implemented. I’m getting a Series x and upgrading my graphics card to a 3080. Hopefully I can find the card when it comes out.

A bit of a kerfuffle over the Series S only running the One S version of prior generation games. It makes sense though, as many One X titles target a resolution higher than the entire concept of the Series S, which will automatically apply HDR, increase the framerate and improved loading times.

Anyone expecting otherwise has no clue about tech.

Xbox One X resolution and GPU had more grunt so nobody can expect that to be the case on a console that the devs told you is meant for 1440p gaming.

I will take the graphics at 1080p or 1440p at 60fps locked or higher then 4k 30fps any day of the week
