Launch lineups have been completely screwed up because of COVID-19 and nothing can be done about that but in no way, shape or form do I want the consoles being delayed, especially the Xbox Series X. Hell no to that.

Everyone who's disappointed by Halo's delay should look at it this way, you would have been more disappointed at launch so be happy the game was delayed because it simply needed to be delayed.

Outside of 6-8 hour PS4 DLC expansion, PS5 doesn't have anything either and outside of a potential PS4 remaster, you're not getting anything else. Like always, it's all about the third party multi-platform games and barring a delay to all of them, there will be plenty of games to play.

Simply, I want my Xbox Series X so Halo or not, the console needs to release. Besides, im just about done with this generation and after 7 years, it's time to move on to next gen.

I skipped the S and X this gen, plus my work has a wellness thing that covers 1/2 of stuff up to 500 a year, so i'm getting half of my console covered lol. Otherwise I might wait a bit longer, but Game Pass is stellar and i'll just be wanting one anyways. I'll use my old Xbox Ones as media devices in different rooms. Game Pass will let those continue to play stuff for a long time.

They are plenty of 3rd party major games coming out around the time of launch to play with AC, cyberpunk, COD, Watch Dogs, sports games, etc. I don't really get the whole nobody has anything to play now that Halo is getting delayed. They may not be true next gen games, but I'm sure they will be better then the last gen versions

Yea Watch Dogs comes out Halloween range so 3 weeks before AC and Cyberpunk. I'm not personally going to buy a xbox however at worst you could pick up one of those lengthy games with gamepass and that should be able to tide you over for a while.

The Xbox Series consoles are gonna be dead on arrival in November. I mean everyone knows the PS5 will sell more, but the Xbox has almost NOTHING at launch.

Terms of a Monster / Xbox Series X promotion suggest the console will be $599. There are 200 prizes, with a retail value of $119,998 (which divided by 200 is $599.99).

The reward is Halo Infinite and the Series X, so IMO it's more likely based strictly on this after a $60 copy of Halo Infinite or the console is actually $540 (which isn't a great number marketing-wise, so begins to deflate this theory)

Don't think anyone would be surprised at $599, but it's our latest hint - which could actually amount to nothing.

That Monster thing makes it very clear it’s pretty much just a placeholder estimated value on the prizes....

Even if it weren’t, look at it this way...$499 XSX + tax + $60 copy of Halo Infinite gets you to $599.

Yeah, I just don't see $599 for either. I still think likely scenario is $500 for XSX and $300 for XSS. Phil Spencer has continued to say that he doesnt want to compete in the traditional console war and doesn't want to focus on consoles sold. I think they're definitely on the service model and if XCloud becomes a hit down the line, that they would leave the console business and focus on game service. I think Microsoft is more concerned about having Series S as cheapest entry into next gen. I think they would want at least a $100 difference betwenn XSS and PS5-DE.

At least with the Hot Chips conference, we will know more about the Series X tech. I just wish they would show some live gameplay walkthroughs of Series X games. Heck some optomized Bc titles for XSX. We know they are going to continue with the World's Most Powerful Console in advertising. But we haven't seen anything yet that show off the power yet.

I'm going to guess it'll be $499. At $599 and no Halo at launch would be a big mistake IMO..

I'm sticking with Xbox Series X at $500 and Series S at $300 with PlayStation 5 Digital Edition at $500 and PlayStation 5 Disc Edition at $600.

Bottom line is that the series x is a big time machine that I will be shocked if it is not between 500 and 600 dollars. It is the most powerful console easily and has a lot of great specs.

The game is now will MS want to release it at the same price as the disc version of the PS5

The series S model will be a great console for those not looking to spend a lot and still get superior performance to anything offered this gen.

MS has put themselves in great position to gain some customers back this gen and hopefully their first party titles coming later will be great but you know the multi plat titles will be best on xsx and play great on xss

I'm imagining 499, but yeah...this is the game of chicken happening right now. I'll just be happy getting a stellar system that'll last a while and have good cooling TBH
