Incredible that now Madden and BF franchises are day 1 playable on Xbox and PC without having to buy the game outright

      Beat me to it.

Madden will probably be released to EA play in February or March. You only will be getting a 10 hour trial with EA Play. This entitles you to 10% off if you decide to purchase the game digitally. The only full games on EA Play will have been out for a few months.
      My Teams:

      EPL - Liverpool FC
      MLB - Atlanta Braves
      MLS - Charlotte FC
      NBA - Charlotte Hornets
      NFL - Carolina Panthers
      NHL - Carolina Hurricanes

That is correct, I thought this was the PRO version that PC gets for 15 a month but is just the basic EA Access trial period.

I wonder if it would mean that Madden gets to GP faster though

EA Play is Part of Game Pass as of December (EA Play launches 11/10 on consoles), so all the vault timelines would apply to it's inclusion there also.

Yeah, it would have been great to see EA Play in Game Pass and EA Play Pro in Game Pass Ultimate. Surprised they didn't get that deal done. Oh well. I don't play many EA games but those I will play for next generation, I will wait for them to go on EA Play down the line. Thus far, it looks like I will have Battlefield 6 and according to rumors, Titanfall 3 and Jedi Fallen Order 2.

I saw a video mentioning we know nothing about ps4 saves on PS5, is that true? They showed a Major Nelson tweet that talked about cloud saves across generations too. That would be crazy if you can't restart your save on PS5

The cloud saves have always sucked on PS4 since you cannot get it without paying for PLus which is awful.

I just have a feeling that many plus members stopped paying or canceled and since it is tied to a paid wall they are starting from scratch to entice more plus memberships for ps5

You can backup your saves with a usb stick if you don’t have plus. The PS5 had a usb slot so it should work that way.

Even when you pay for plus it is awful. If you aren't on the home/main console your saves don't auto sync. You have to manually download from the cloud then manually upload. For a paid service. With multiple people and multiple consoles, it plain sucked for PS4.

Xbox made it a lot easier. Even the 360 cloud saves transferred to the back compat games on the One.

Well this isn't very good news. I've never heard of ShopTo. But I imagine it won't just affect them.

They are a UK retailer and also had to send out the same announcement about the PS5 to their customers. Sounds like they may have just overestimated their initial allotment. Guess mew shall see, though.

Was playing SMB3 at a friend’s house, and cloud gaming on XB1 is pretty great. Not only could I choose one of my custom teams in the pre-game without doing a single thing more than logging in, but my friend then also had access and used one of my teams.

Got home, and a quick sync that happened automatically updated my star scores and such.
