I notice its very slow but i think i figure out the problem. The games that are optimized for the series x/s was still on my portable hard drive. So i had to go in and move it off the portable hard drive to the internal and the series x ssd and i notice its moving faster. I do like that the new sorting option you can see what games are optimize so i can automatically move those to the internal and ssd and leave everything else on the portable hard drive

guys I just sold my x1x on kijiji... I reset it, but it's trying to get me to sign in which would just ruin the fact that I factor default reset it...
any tips on how to make it so that it's 'new' for the next person - there is no option to just shut off the console...
*edit, I should make it clear that I have sold the original x 1 in the past and just unplugged it before this stage and it cause the guy hours of headaches and contacting cutomer support and he thought I screwed him at first.Last edited by allBthere; 11-11-2020, 12:02 PM.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
Set up was a breeze yesterday for the Series X.
There's some heft to the console. I really like the build of it. I currently have it sitting on the floor just to the left of my tv stand.
Whisper quiet. Is it even on?Great MS build quality as always.
Finally, the UI is not sluggish. Yes, I know they put out updates for the Xbox One that made it slightly better, but it still wasn't as smooth as the PS4 UI. It's so much better now.
Installs or downloads are excruciatingly slow. Was only able to install Jedi Fallen and NHL21. The rest of the time I was watching Ted Lasso on Apple TV Plus, which looks absolutely great. Oh, and it's a can't miss show for all your footie fans.
I have the "instant on" feature set, but my game downloads are not installing with the console off. Am I doing something wrong?
Games load very quickly. And since I was only able to play a couple games, my time has been limited. Jedi Fallen looks really nice, and NHL 21 is definitely long in the tooth. NHL 22 better look a lot better!
The UI is very familiar. It's good and bad in my opinion. I'm sure MS will make subtle changes going forward. That said, it's easy to navigate around because it's...comfortable.
If my games still haven't downloaded by the time I get home, it's back to watching Ted Lasso. Such a good show.PSN: sportdan30

Yea I couldn’t find the trials either. Madden 21 next gen isn’t available yet. It comes December 4th.

The sound is better without making any changes, just using the default TV speakers, I could immediately tell the difference in sound quality. Imagine when I get gaming headphones and a sound bar to go with it.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

that doesn't sound good! I was just looking at a video the other day where a guy was praising ps5's fast download speeds. As a guy who owned both, ps4 was notoriously slow... my one x was fine I guess, never thought it was slow but not ultra fast either. To hear the series X is slow is concerning to me. With games being 100gigs plus gamepass, you still need to download them, that's a bit worrisome.

Finally got 2k 100% and now I'm uploading Madden.Comment

interesting, I think my x1x was faster than that. I actually put an ethernet right into mine and will do the same for the sx because it happens to be really close to the router, so I wonder if that will make mine faster....Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Mine is in the basement. I just added a Google mesh set to help. It was even worse before. I did go and reset my router and it helped big time. Madden 21 downloaded in less than 30 minutes. Not sure exactly because I left the room for a bit.Comment

Am so close to returning my series x to amazon.
Super upsetting that the hdmi 2.1 4k 120hz is a broken mess
Those buying an hdmi 2.1 tv for next gen consoles should feel robbed right now
Sony does not allow you to set the console at 4k 120hz it only allows games that support that refresh rate to unlock it once the game starts.
Xbox allows you to use it but it is broken and VRR does not fix it. Games like Modern Warfare which on xbox one x you can remove the screen tearing and get lower input lag by doing 1440p 120hz worked great in that game
In this game you set it to 4k 120hz to enjoy hdr which you could not at 1440p 120hz in xbox one x but now you get the full benefits of hdr and really low input lag from 14 ms in 4k 60hz to 6ms in 4k 120hz
But games like 2k21 and modern warfare are a stuttering mess
You must put it at 4k 60hz to fix the issue but then you are resorted back to 14ms of input lag.
PS5 and Series X are still HDMI 2.0 consoles in my book and is highly upsetting.
Worst of all is that on series x if you put the console at old reliable 1440p 120hz it stutters even worst on Modern Warfare
Going to test the series x on a 4k LG 144hz monitor that has no HDMI 2.1 but I can do 1080p 120hz and see how it works out. Will report backComment

Re: Xbox Series X ($499) and Xbox Series S ($299) Release on November 10, Pre-Orders
Ok so I used my 4k LG 144hz monitor and 4k 60hz works perfect but so does 4k 60hz on LG oled. Only difference is that on my monitor the pixel density is higher so graphics look better but colors and contrast are better on the OLED. And also on the monitor the input lag is about 3ms which is far better then 14ms on OLED at 4k 60hz
But now I know the OLED is not the issue, it is the series X or perhaps the games
On xbox one x you can set the tv at 1440p 120hz and it was perfect but now on series x if you engage 120hz at any resolution it has awful judder and it happens as well on my LG monitor.
The only game I have played where 120hz was perfect was Gears 5
So my thinking is that a game should be made with 120hz in mind. Not 120fps because we know that is not happening but even if a game is made for 4k 60hz
It would be great for xbox series x and ps5 devs to put a cheap 1080p low settings mode for 120hz so that you can benefit from 120hz at the resolution you want.Comment

I think you’re being a little dramatic. The consoles just came out and I’m sure a lot of things will be fixed via patch. Just how the Xbox one x used to raise blacks and people complained and it was fixed. I’m not surprised that some stuff aren’t 100% right now. Look at the ps5 not supporting 1440p and now they’re saying it might get patched in. Just give it some time..
