Best Buy doesn't charge until it ships the charge will drop.

I got the same email from Amazon, I'm sure it's just a precautionary measure to cover themselves. If i don't get it on release then I'll wait depending on how long the wait is or go out hunting that morning.

As for retailers and holds all of them pretty much authorize the charge and it rolls off within a week max outside of Target who marches to the beat of their own drum.

As someone who hasn’t preordered from Best Buy before this, any idea if they will ship so it arrives on release day or will they just ship it out on release day?

Also got the email from amazon so I think we’re good, they’re just covering their bases. That’s my disc version which I’m planning to cancel anyway just making sure nothing changes with my Best Buy preorder.

Can you pay off Amazon right away? Or do they just put a hold and charge everything when processed? I'd rather pay it all at once either at beginning or end, vs. a bit early and the rest later, not sure if that's possible

I don't think Amazon does anything until it ships. At least that's been my experience with anything I've ever purchased from them.

I'm sure there will be some out there upset about this but not me. I feel like certain people make a bigger issue of this than it really is. I just don't care about backwards compatibility in any form. I don't have FOMO for past games I may have missed and never had the itch to play an old game I've played through before. Not sure that you can with you credit cards but I remember last gen what I did for Xbone and PS4 was purchased amazon gift cards in the amount of each console and I was able to apply those to my order so they were paid off right away. I would imagine you could still do that.

I rarely replay games so it’s not a huge deal to me either, but I’d like BC if for no other reason than to save space on my shelf and/or have less to dig out if I actually feel like playing an old game sometime.

Only accessories I purchased were another controller and a charging bay. Needed a cleaner look than having my usb cables sprawled everywhere.

HD camera couldn't see myself using it.

3D headset was intriguing but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. Hoping they don't lock down bluetooth like they did on PS4 I'd rather be able to hook any BT to the system.

I bought the media remote for the PS3 and PS4 and ended up regretting the purchase both times LOL I rarely used them as they couldn't controll anything besides the console.
