No CYA email from Best Buy yet, and it's still on my account as "Pre-ordered".

Thanks...that will be fine with me.

Yeah, i have a weird issue where I'm running this through my work's well being policy where they cover gym memberships and other things for your well being. Included is game consoles lol. I get half covered by them up to 500 a year, so using this to save half of the console. Great perk, I know lol. I just have to charge my work card and get it all approved, so easier if it's all done at once.

Snagged mine through the Sony invite. I figured I got selected because I’ve been in several System Software Betas. Got the disc version and a set of the Pulses.

I’m too mad at Sony right now I’m very upset with the way they did things between the whole pre orders thing then idk there new ad made me feel some type of way. I just wait and see if I get series x if not game on one x and only do exclusive on Sony.

I preordered from Best Buy through Paypal and got charged... not a pending auth.

I don't mind so long as I receive this bad boy on release day.

Whether intentional or not I think the first wave of pre-orders went to more customers who truly wanted the system than people looking to flip it for outrageous prices. Like was already mentioned the bots weren't set up yet to snatch them faster than any human could. The Amazon link I posted was good for at least 15 minutes after I purchased mine as I went back later and while the digital version was gone the disk version was still an option. I don't think it would have lasted that long if we had gotten a precise time.

As for people wanting to go back to the days of standing outside a store. Never did that and thank Zeus I don't have to now. I can't just go taking time off to work to wait in line for a console. What I can do is set up my browser to refresh a tab so I get the latest twitter update and hope for some good luck.

Best buy charges which i prefer in this case so am sure you are good but it wont stop the scenario that you get an email like Amazon sent but I think even those people that got Amazon emails about delays are still going to get their console day 1

Yeah, the way they have handled this whole thing leaves me pretty disappointed and a little jaded......and I managed to snag a preorder. Nothing against anyone who got this invite, but if they are gonna do that, then maybe they should probably think about sending one to people who have multiple PS4s and spend around 150 a month in the PS Store between game and other services.

I still don’t have a pre order [emoji24] if anyone didn’t use their Sony invite thing I would happily take theirs because I didn’t get one despite having every Sony PlayStation for the last 25 years.

Anyone who got it through Sony have you tried to do it again looks like it's letting me add another ps5

I just found out the invite didn’t guarantee you a console. Hadn’t realized that before and I was already upset with how poorly this was managed.

I’m in the same boat as you as far as the amount of money I’ve given them since the release of the PS1, and knowing they didn’t give me the opportunity to even try is a giant slap in the face.

I’ve been critical of MS lately, but I have to give them credit with how they’ve handled things so far. They’ve been upfront about a lot, and been able to keep a leash on retailers with pre-orders.

If you had told me a week ago that by this time next week I’d be seriously considering getting an XBOX instead of a PS5, I’d have said you were out of your skull insane, and yet, here we are.

Was able to get in on the Amazon pre-orders but got the disk version. If I’m able to secure a digital version I will let someone on here get my Amazon order. Will keep you posted.
