I bet the bigger games come to PS5. Sony isn’t Xbox’s competitor. It’s Amazon Google and Apple. This would be like Netflix selling stranger things on blu ray which they do. Physical media isn’t really a competitor to Netflix. It’s prime, Hulu etc.

I may have played Prey back on the 360 or OG Xbox. IIRC, there was a Native American protagonist or reservation or something. I didn't get very far in it. But, yeah, somehow I havent played much of Bethesda games. I have heard good things about Skyrim. I have gamepass though so I'll be sure to dig into them a bit more now.

No, MS is going to let Bethesda have their freedom but MS decides where the games go because you know they own the company. This is all for creative freedom not for putting games on PS5

Well we will see but I see that is just hopes and dreams.

You do not spend that coin to put the game on PS5 where there is no gamepass

This is to get those PS5 users to engage on pc or buy an xbox and get into GP

If you put it on PS5 then MS needs to cut Sony 30% for each title sold and they get no GP subscription additions.

          Its not happening

Oh, I got to disagree with you Xgamer. It would be like Sony saying since we own the rights to the film and we're only releasing it to Sony theaters even though there are more Lowes and AMC theaters out for the public to use. It would be like self-suicide.

Not sure if you've noticed the number of past gaming studios that have shut down because of operating costs, but running a gaming studio is equivalent to the Filming Industry costs. I'm sure when they looked at Bethesda sales, the PS brand was their top seller. It would be nuts to cut off their top seller and weaken the studio's revenues. Look at Minecraft as an example. Do you think the Xbox has the greatest number of its users?

I do think some will come to PS5, possibly time based exclusives...I wouldn't say all will be exclusive, but maybe just the huge games (ES6, Fallout) come to PS5...

Sony does do this with all their first party games and paying for FF and other PS5 exclusives though, don't you think they'd make more money off of Spiderman if it wasn't exclusive? It'll be interesting to see how The Show does multiplatform.

Honestly, MS has a lot of time before the huge games that matter are going to drop, and I'd expect most of the smaller games to be Xbox/PC only, so they can see how GP subs are going and obviously they have a long term game plan. We just aren't going to get to know these details now, before console launches, because this helps sell consoles too. There's really no benefit to MS to confirm PS5 games, plus it's so early in the game cycles that they may not know much anyways.

This more really drives people to Game Pass given the value...if you're frugal it's hard to argue against. I haven't purchased a Xbox game in a while because of Game Pass. Saves me that 60-80 buck purchases for one game.

Yes, I believe new IPs will get exclusives in the future. As a MS stock owner I applaud this move. They're going to need studios to fill games for GP and I rather avoid Tick Tock all together.

As for Spiderman? Lol, Sony is I think closing in on $100B. They're competing with a trillion dollar company. They need some "Aces up their sleeves." But they're working together. Sony using Azure, The Show going multi. I think Dickey pointed it out perfectly regarding who Microsoft's real competitor is.

Microsoft owns Minecraft yet they are selling it on Playstation.

Buy Minecraft on PlayStation Store. Build anything you can imagine or go on grand expeditions across mysterious lands and into the depths of your own infinite worlds.

Good points...makes me question the future of Sony a bit, if they don't pivot more away from consoles. I definitely like how MS is shaping themselves for the future. Not that I think Sony's going away, just thinking that the high end window is lower if you're not thinking about the future.

I see this in the middle between full exclusive and full multiplat like Minecraft...

Forgive me for being stupid, but I have a question about GamePass simply because I haven’t followed Xbox, not because I’m a *****.

I actually intend to get the S sometime after the first of the year after not buying one since the first 360.

With GamePass do you no longer buy games? Just whatever releases is now yours to download.

Microsoft services and the cloud are top priorities. Sony entertainment is their vital. They will always commit to story telling and PS was just another means of offering it to people. What Sony has are the artists. They have many quality studios. They can also bring back film licenses as a distributor into new story games like say Men In Black, or Jumanji, ect. as well as new story-telling adventures/drama/comedy/si-fi/action / series.

                            Hmmm, 5-letter word stricken?

You pay a monthly fee and you get to play it. If you like it, you pay the offered price. Eventually, a number of games drops and a new group arrives.

Yeah, Game Pass is all the MS first party games and then a rotating list of other games they'll add on and you can play anything on Game Pass for free, and get discounts if you want to purchase too. Some stuff does leave (GTAV and RDR2 were on for 3-4 months or something and then left), but all MS stuff is there forever and new stuff free on release day.

Remember, Sony looks to give you entertainment in any venue they can.

For the future of Sony, think of a flat screen 8kTV as a future PS. VR/AR eye glasses for VR or a holodeck. Now that's something I hope I live long enough to see.
