I see MS more as the "Play anywhere" people vs Sony. I don't really think people want to bundle their console in a TV, unless you're talking about streaming, which is what MS is slowly starting to push now with xCloud. I certainly wouldn't want to have my super expensive PC become limited hardware wise in 4 years when Sony upgrades.

I'm also not sold on VR currently, but that's a separate discussion...it's yet to take off even with the Quest 2 being a decent offering. The best offerings still require a high end PC to be great, and I'm not sure the portable cost will come down tons over the next 5 years. We shall see. I remember being sold how Oculus Rift is the future, and here we are? Not really selling tons of games or anything....

The future is interesting...i guess I just don't see Sony as being "everywhere" quite like you say, they more depend on consoles and exclusives.

I can play a sony game on my pc, smartphone, tablet, console, and VR.

I cannot play on all the platforms for Microsoft such as Apple phones or VR.

Actually I just read yesterday that MS is pushing their Remote Play beta through IOS, so it's all true except VR. Xcloud on IOS isn't allowed any more than PS Now would be, given Apple's current restrictions. You can play on PC and other platforms as well.

VR is different for sure. I'll personally take Game Pass over VR, but I also don't have the money to keep buying more systems/things. I have to pick one or the other and I also don't drop money every month on 60-80 games, so I know I'm a different beast vs. the hardcore gamer with money.

I'll be interested to see what happens with PSVR though...Never hear anything about it so figured it just kinda faded away.

I think you're right in that Sony will have their niche similar to how Nintendo does. Will they blow up super big like MS, Amazon, and Google want gaming to go though? I'm not sure there.

Ah, but everywhere means everywhere. I got me an Xbox X on preorder day so I'll be in the X too.

Good discussion. Wish there were more.

Yeah that'll never happen, Naughty Dog, imo, is far and away better then Bethesda. I haven't played a single Bethesda game, got close to trying Fallout but never did.

Yeah...I agree. I'm really not a Xbox Fanboy, and I admit when they screw up. I'm just really hyped about what they're doing right now, and it's not seeming like Sony's got the same direction, but we'll see what they do.

Want an interesting good read? Good column regarding the purchase and the perception. It's an opinion, but it now stands out. I'm now wondering about what old agreements are there.

No doubt they move to Azure when legally possible....cheaper and the money stays within MS overall...plus i bet there'll be tons of ways to integrate together that may not have been possible before.

MS is about making money, so if putting stuff elsewhere isn't risking making money elsewhere then it won't be exclusive. They have a plan, we just don't know it.

I just do not get why Sony fans call this out but their claim to diss xbox is that they have no exclusives to make them buy into xbox. Now they do but they want MS to be the nice guy?

I dont see sony fanboys calling this out? I'm a sony fanboy and I personally dont even care. Good purchase for Microsoft though (not being sarcastic)

Minecraft is a platformer that gets support for years and years which is why it is on everything.

Cannot compare Minecraft to an actual triple A game come on

As for Spiderman? Lol, Sony is I think closing in on $100B. They're competing with a trillion dollar company. They need some "Aces up their sleeves." But they're working together. Sony using Azure, The Show going multi. I think Dickey pointed it out perfectly regarding who Microsoft's real competitor is.
Only way the games will appear on SOny is if Sony puts xbox game pass on their console. The Show going multi has zero to do with Sony and everything to do with MLB

The only games that will go to Sony are the online specific games but single player triple A. Not going to happen IMO

I agree 100% that ND games are superior but you cannot say ND games are superior so no chance Sony puts them on Xbox but Xbox will put their games on Sony....I mean really?

Take off the fanboy hat for a while. Not everyone is one like you.
Fanboy? No Sky it has to do with the way for the last few years it has been well why buy an xbox when they have no games so there is no reason to

But once they have a stable of games coming, the other side says is not fair to not put it on sony. Really?

Spiderman is the biggest super hero in most cases and only Sony fans get to enjoy it. Which sony fans tell you that this is the reason to buy a sony console because of the exclusives. But when the other side gets exclusives it is not fair?

I have PS5 and series X pre ordered and I game on a 2080ti and waiting to buy a 3090 when available.

And I spent this gen mostly on ps4 and pc. So fanboy not....Just pointing out way things shake out in the end when the shoe is on the other foot
