Re: Another HDTV questions info thread
Thanks for all your help manOriginally posted by rhellerThat is the model I have. Great closeout deal.
You don't really NEED anything to run your DVD, XBOX, PS2, but if you would like to take advantage of your HDTV, you should start by getting component cables. To play HD Xbox games I have the Xbox HD pack. As far as sound goes, I still have my HT in a box that I bought back in 2000. I do recommend getting a stand for the TV. (If you don't already have one) You should also do some research into how many HD channels are available to you in your area. Example: My cable company offers up 11 HD Channels, but my Mom's cable company (east coast) only offers 2 HD Channels. If you plan on getting your HD channels from Over the Air signals, you need to buy other things. I've never done it so I know nothing about it.

Re: Another HDTV questions info thread
this is what I have, it comes with all the cables you need. If you plan on hooking up to surround sound receiver for dolby 5.1 , you need a digital optical cable (you can get one at Wal Mart for around $15)Originally posted by BlzerCan someone please show me what the Xbox component cables look like?

Re: Another HDTV questions info thread
My dad just bought the brand new Sony 57 Inch Projection Wega HDTV. He just got his cable hooked up. I just have one question. When it was showing a college basketball replay on the High Definition channel, the players would get choppy when running really fast. Does fast motion cause the signal to blur? The court would be fine, just the players would sometimes blur.Comment

Re: Another HDTV questions info thread
first thing I would check is to make sure the cable box is setup properly. tgher should be some type of on screen menu where you can set the cable box to be 4x3 or 16x9 output. Also check to make sure the output of the cable box is set to 720p or 1080i and that matches your TV. If the TV doesn't do 720p and the cable box is set to that, it could be the problem.Originally posted by RobUofMMy dad just bought the brand new Sony 57 Inch Projection Wega HDTV.
