I just bought this tv will be delivered next saturday for my den for watching sports and playing xbox360 did I make a good decision?

That Toshiba is rear projection, so technically it is suscepitble to burn in. Don't worry about it, though. Unless you play it every waking minute or leave it paused for a really long time you will be cool.Comment

Another easy solution is to pick up a calibration disc or use one of the THX Optimizers and lower your contrast considerably. Ok, I measured wrong, and I now know I need a HD TV that is less than 37" wide to fit in our damn Built-in in our new house. My current choice is this:
Toshiba 37" Widescreen Flat Panel LCD
Can anyone tell me their thoughts on either this TV or Toshiba's in general? I need to pick a TV either tonight or tomorrow before Comcast comes to do our install on the 10th...Thanks in advance!Comment

I don't have any actual experience on the set, but one thing did jump out...the fact that it only has ONE component input, and ONE DVI. So the one component and one DVI means you could hook up a PS2 and cable box and thats it? That would mean no DVD player? We have a set of computer speakers, with a subwoofer and all, do you know if that would connect? Don't have anything else other than a PS2 so I don't think it will be a huge problem.
Do you know anything about the HDTV specs? Would there be a problem if we ordered the Brighthous Hi-Def service? What about for a next gen system like PS3 or Xbox 360?
Does this compare to the Texas Instrument DLP Technology? From what I can tell, every television manufacturer has their own terminology for HDTV, I guess I am just wondering if this will do the trick. Seems a little too good to be true...

As a rule of thumb you should get a HDTV that supports 2 component inputs & 1 HDMI or DVI conection.. My TV has 3 component & one HDMI.. I have my Xbox 1 & 2 hooked up to 2 components, & the PS3 will take the other component..My HDMI will be used for my HD DVD player I will be getting later this yr..You really want a TV that gives you a lot of HD options..I have 7 inputs total, including VGA..Originally posted by RidgebergThanks for the insight.

I have a small question. I own the Samsung TXR2678 26" HDTV (small I know) and just bought a new indoor antenna for it lastnight. It seems to work good so far but I noticed that when I auto programmed the channels it didn't include channel 22-1. Any way for me to get that back? I tried using the add/delete function but it went straight from regular channel 22 to channel 23. Is there a way to reset the tv and start over? I tried unplugging it for a bit but that didn't work. Any help is appreciated.Comment

Could be your TV placement..Eversince I moved my Samsung into the computer room My TV can't auto detect Fox,CBS, NBC, & ABC..I never had any problems getting those channels when my TV was in my bedroom.. To get into the service menu..Turn your TV off..Press mute, then 1,8,2 & turn on your TV..There is a reset function..Redskins Fan. The 82 Smurfs will never die. 83/88/92 NFL world champions!!
