Re: Another HDTV questions info thread

I have totally come to the feelings that I have to have the directv package to get HD signals. Am I correct in this?

if you want the satellite HD signals, for example: ESPN-HD, shotime-HD, etc....then yes you would have to get the directv package (total choice whatever) + the HD package for an extra $11

$11, hmmm Time Warner gives you them as part of the "digital" package, plus some of the locals. I got the house and I want to use the already wried satelite system!! This is a tough one!

I don't even care about the movie channels. I want the locals, and maybe espn and discovery. Is that my only option I guess I could ask?

In squids scenario, is there any other way? I'd pay the price for DTV High Def, but shelling out 400 + at one time for it won't work for me.

your best bet then would to get HD cable TV , they have ESPN and Discovery channel and some of the locals. It would be much easier too. I went with DTV because I was locked into a contract already.

You mean get rid of my satellite for cable.

                              I refuse to sell out.
