    No.

Most agree that Samsung makes the best DLP sets. I've had a Toshiba for about 18 months and I am very happy with it.

Re: HDTV Questions and Answers Thread

I recently got HD service from Atlantic Broadband. The HD channels are great, but the "normal" channels seem to have much poorer reception (dark, blurry picture) than before I got the upgrade in service. I have had a samsung dlp for over a year and just got the HD channels since they weren't offered in my area over cable. Is this downgrade in picture quality of the non-hd channels normal, or is there some way I can remedy it?

This is a surround sound question, guys!!

I got a 1000 watt jvc 5.1 surround sound for christmas for the xbox 360.
the sub is a powered sub but the speakers connect through the sub not the receiver. The room i put this in is 6 ft wide 12 ft long. I have the sub under my cpu desk. Should i hide the sub behind my desk for optimal bass sounds.
The woofer in the sub looks like its on the side of the sub.

Any opinions or comments are welcomed

          this is what i got

There are wireless speakers, but none of them are very good. The quality in wireless speakers just isn't up to par yet.

                    Okay, thanks.

And one more thing... what is the best cable to use from my DVD player to my TV? Would component (on each end) be best? Or what's recommended?

HDMI if it supports it. Component or DVI would be your next best options.

I think it is the 3241; I'll double check when I get home. I guess thats why i got it on sale for 899. I noticed something else last night while playinf ncaa football that there would be tiny flickering dots underneath the players feet when they would move sometimes, strange. It just seems that when there is screen movement the background of the stadium kind of blurs or even names on back of jerseys blur. Like I said maybe my expectations or just too high. Is it a possibility could be my 360?

Yes, but only if you use a VGA cable. You cannot get 1080p output from the 360 using component cables.

Well, I guess you could say we're both right. From http://http://www.engadgethd.com/200...ent-1080p-vga/,

I believe a problem with component and 1080P is that not a lot of TV's support 1080P over component.
