I'll definitely post all my impressions in here when I finally get that sucker up and working. Lord knows all of y'all in this thread have seen me asking questions long enough that it's deserved on a 2 way street. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences moving their flat screen tv across long distances (I mean moving homes)?
Just bought a 37" lcd and might be moving across the country in a couple of months. At this point, I'm thinking I should maybe return the tv for a full refund (30 days to return policy) and use a crappy tv until I move.
Will probably end up getting the same tv after the move, but am afraid that the tv might get damaged (even though I'm sure the movers will insure it- you never know still).
Any thoughts? Are these things too delicate to be moved in trucks like that?Comment

You do have to mess with some settings in 'PRO' mode. Once you do it's heaven.
The 360 is unbelievable on this thing. You don't have to worry about any lag or anything. I still catch myself staring in disbelief sometimes.
I personally would not buy this from an online retailer. This is one of those things where I'd go brick and mortal. Penny wise, dollar foolish. You might be fine, but I was not willing to take that risk.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Same TV, excellent picture, love gaming on it (no lag with any system), a few tweaks required but then it's night and day with the default picture modes...very good buy!
Ask ODogg about an online retailer, since he just bought a new Samsung DLP online and they were going to deliver it today, several days early. He'll post impressions later this week. It's really up to you, but make sure shipping is insured, and that you can get a warranty (if nothing else, go through Sony). These sets are fickel and lemons DO exist, across ALL HDTV's, so it's just a safe investment. I meant for him to buy the TV through BB or CC or wherever. I have a 2 year Sony in house warranty. So EG, did ChadB calibrate your set this past weekend? How's it look? I have an older non-XBR Sony tube as my back-up set and am wondering what kind of improvement there is on the old Sony tubes. Did you do any service menu or user tweaks before the calibration?I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

Oh yeah, I meant to post that. I had to cancel the appointment. My wife's uncle got sick, and no one was going to be here. During all that, and the weekend, I talked to a friend who wants a new TV, and may buy mine. So I may be looking at getting that Sammy that ODogg got, and the wife was cool with it. Oh well...when any of you guys get that ISF job done, please post impressions. I swear I'm counting down the days until I get out of Boise and move to a place with an experienced calibrator. I "think" I'm close, but I really have no idea without the gear.
