Goodfellas, in my opinion, is one of the best films ever.

Somehow I missed this thread 10 years ago. Casino for me. I will actually take the 4 hour and 11 minutes version of Once Upon a Time in America as the best gangster movie of all time, yes even better than the The Godfather I or II.Jordan Mychal Lemos

My girlfriend does part-time work at a sneaker store in New York City.
I went to visit her about a month ago so we could go out after her shift. And well, what do you know, she comes up to me to say, "Tell me that isn't Ray Liotta I'm helping right now! The guy in the white shirt trying on shoes."
So I look and, yep, Ray Liotta in the flesh. I try not to look too much and be respectful.
But then after a few minutes waiting, she's walking toward the counter with Ray and he just looks at me and smiles. Then before I could process that he isn't simply walking to the counter, he reaches out his hand and says, "Nice to meet you."
So I extend my hand and shake his. She says, "I had to tell him that Goodfellas is your favorite movie."
So I respond to him, "I saw you but I didn't want to bother you."
He laughs and jokes, "It's okay, she already did it for you."
And that's how I met Ray Liotta, the main actor in my favorite film "Goodfellas."
