Does anyone know who those terrorist people are? Are they a new group or an old one? Also why the heck did they go to the airport. I assume it is to kill Jack, but why are they placing such high importance on him if he is retired? The show seems pretty intersting and I'll have to watch it tonight. Also it will be interesting to see whether the Chinese ask to have him (I read the episode guides).

They are russians who dont want the arms act signed between US & Russia. I dont think their being at the airport has anything to do with Jack. Even though that baggage agent somehow leaked Jack's being alive. They are taking hostages of russian and american citizen's for leverage.

Sully, I see a subscription to Netflix in your future! In college my friends got me hooked on the show so bad, that I skipped classes to catch up so I could watch the new episodes.

Yeah pretty much all it takes is one episode to get someone hooked.

As we've seen with, how many is that now? 6 or 7 OS posters watched their first episode and are hooked

Oh that makes sense. Thanks for the help, but how did they know that Jack is still alive and why did they try to frame him? Are these people entirely new or are they old characters? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the info.

Off the top of my head, these are the returning 24 regulars that I saw last night for you new people. I guess there might be early season spoilers in this list (so read at own risk if you are going to rewatch early seasons), but I didn't put too much detail:

Jack (duh)

David Palmer (guy shot at beginning): S1: Senator running for President; S2-S3: President; S4: Presidental consultant to help Logan; Jack's friend and helped disguise his death

Tony Almeida (car bomb victim): CTU agent S1-S4; husband of Michelle Dessler; Jack's friend and helped disguise his death

Michelle Dessler (car bomb victim): S2: CTU agent; S3-S4: CTU lead; Jack's friend and helped disguise his death

Edgar Stiles (chubby tech guy): S4

Chloe O'Brien (girl that called Jack to save her): S3: CTU tech; S4: CTU lead tech; Jack's friend and helped disguise his death

Bill Buchanan (CTU lead): Appeared in S4 to take over CTU lead along with Dessler

Audrey Raines (DOD rep): Jack's girlfriend in S4, relationship ended when she saw what he has to do at work.

Curtis Manning (black CTU agent): First appeared in S4. He is a CTU field agent, probably lead field agent now.

Wayne Palmer (Palmer's brother): Appeared in S3 as President Palmer's top advisor. Wasn't in S4.

Off the top of my head, those are the returning characters that I saw last night.

Jack's woman and her kid are new, all the terrorist are new.

On Tony's character guide, they list his personal status as married and not Widowed like Jack(w/Teri) and Audrey(w/ Paul). Hopefully this means that Michelle pulled through.
