    Re: 24: Day 5

The top part discusses shows like this that require you to watch every week. However, where it says "Left for Dead? Not Quite", it talks more about 24.

    EDIT: Also there was this:

Meanwhile, the show could find a second home on the big screen. Writers are developing a script for a feature-film adaptation that would condense the show's very-bad-day into two hours. If it gets a greenlight, the film would likely begin filming in the spring.

EDIT2 - A few more articles that I ran into.

Details some of the new people: http://www.usatoday.com/life/televis...st-intro_x.htm

Another intro to this season: http://www.usatoday.com/life/televis...01-12-24_x.htm

I'd like to see a film after the show eventually gets "cancelled". Hopefully that in a while. I know they are commited to another season after the upcoming one.

Carlos Bernard(Tony) was on the Tony Danza show talking about it, and backed up the fact that people HAVE to watch the first ten minutes. He said the writers really outdid themselves and got the show rolling right off the bat.

No problem. Here's another I just found:

Yes, I'm bored at work today!

            I like this quote:

"This time, something happens to Jack on a very personal level that pisses him off," says Bauer's alter-ego, star Kiefer Sutherland. "Because he's presumed dead, a lot of the boundaries he was restricted by -- by virtue of who he was working for -- simply don't exist now. And he's mad."

That first line was exactly the same thing he said on Letterman last night. I was hoping that the would show some kind of clip last night but no luck.

LOL, I remember for some reason I missed a couple episodes in Season 3 a couple years ago, so I just totally gave up on it and didn't watch it at all.

Then for Christmas 04, I got Season 3 on DVD, sat down at like 3:00 PM Christmas day and watched every episode until it was done.

I have like..8 or 9 hours left...so it will be done by 8 pm sunday.

Although, I have already seen season 4, so it's not needed, but since season 4 ended, i've watched season 1 and 2, and got 4 on DVD for x-mas. 3 was probably the best season, but I don't know...I have personal problems watching the first few weeks with the biological disease thing. That creeps the hell out of me, more than any horror movie could.

LOL @ Tony Reali at the start of Around the Horn:

"The following takes place between 5:00 and 6:00."

                          You saw that too.

When they were talking about Michelle Wie he said "The following takes place between the 1st and 18th hole" and someone made the ticking sound in the background.

Ok, so I've never really gotten into this show. I've always seen a few episodes each season, but I've always had something come up where I couldn't watch. Now that I have a DVR, I'm going to get back in the show, especially since its gonna be in HD.

So my question is, I'm watching the previews and it looks like Jack faked his death. Can anybody just fill me in on the end of season 4 to prepare me for season 5 so I'll have a clue as to whats going on? And I don't want to watch season 4 because then I'll be out of the loop as to what happened before then and the cycle continues...so anybody?

                              Quick summary:

Jack broke into a Chinese embassy to abduct a guy who had info, the Chinese found out, a war was close to starting, and the Vice President/President ordered a Secret Service agent to kill Jack, and they faked Jack's death so he could live and go to Mexico and essentially "disappear".

You also have to add that EVERYONE but like, 4 or 5 people, think Jack's dead.
