All in all a pretty mediocre effort, in keeping with Smallville's history of so so season finales.
I thought Dean Cain was supposed to play ZOD. I didn't care for Zod taking over Lex.

I forgot, point is what they're putting that dim witted Clark through is enough already yeah I want more but when this series started it was pretty cool even for my taste but now oh whatever its suppose to be fantasy TV anyway.

How the Hell is he suppose to get out of that prison like "Phantom Zone" do they realize just what and how that thing suppose to work? It was fine in the earlier Superman movie years ago and worked, but here "I don't think so".... been there done that see the earlier Superman Movie like I said been there done that but its ok its fantasy TV and its kinda cool except for the "Soap Opera" wanna be drama stuff sometime it looks like a afternoon Soap Opera they need to give that storyline a new face lift!

And what are the odds that some space junk encounters it...like in the original when he with some other prisoners escaped...they better have something good going into next season because Zod was imprisoned a long, long, long, long time in that thing and its not suppose to be something you pick like a comon lock...of course I'll be back next season because I gotta see how they pull this one off...these Cliffhangers are cool and all but comon were expecting this kid Clark, yeah I said kid to just get out in say oh the next six months for the next season...it took "ZOD" who knows millinieums and Clarks gonna do it in six months...hey thats time enough for lets say a Movie...the ending IMO bit off more then its suppose to chew and throws the series into another kinda thing...because what happened was just plain crazy to end it that way by the time the "Kid" gets out they'll be back on the "Stone" age but hey don't worry folks it'll be over in six months...yeah right.

Hey Rick, how's it going buddy? I agree with you that the way this whole thing panned out with Zod at the end was kind of foolish if you ask me. What were they thinking? I wish that Zod was another character and not inhabiting Lex's body. Dean Cain was supposed to play Zod, but it never happened.

Naw Deans already established as an icon an has been associated with Superman so his appearence here would be kinda chessy and stale, the guy they should get has to be a real stearn Military type with an ego and all that evil villian stuff...Deans a good guy and could never pull it off being an evil character...he was the former Superman so good guys written all over him!

I agree Cain would have totally miscast as Zod. I don't agree that Cain has been established as an icon.

Aside from his collegic career and Superman the series he's been seen alot by people who followed that series for awhile, I meant he has already been seen by fans of the series and who've followed his career since his college days thats all he's been there done that and seeing him as Superman is old hat or even associated with the Superman Franchise, most movies he's been in have cast him as a real goodguy.

As for type casting its written all over the guy and I've seen him save the "World" already in about three different movies showing on the Sci-fi network. And even when cast as a bad guy he's always that character that eludes goodness and helps out a thief that saves the World after being reform from a life of crime with a wife ,kid and moral principles to do the right thing sounds like a clean cut all American hero to me and is cast most of the time as such even leading up to his role as "Superman" he's a real good guy and has been seen by fans of the series as such sooo he's established some cred in the circle of fans who are familiar with "Superman" or also know as...

"The Adventures Of Louis and Clark" the television series I forgot who played Louis but he's been exposed and seen as Clark Kent/Superman so associating with this series is kinda cheesy IMO because he's been there done that!

Well the old "Gunny" sure is a viable canidate and this guys scares even the hardest of characters and is a well established character often portraying such types but he's abit on the rough side we'd need someone with alittle more class and control because the ole Gunny can be a loose cannon at times!

I like the guy from the X-men that Magneto character or better yet Christorpher Lee aka Count Duca I believe from Star Wars and even better still the original "Gen. Zod" from the Superman movie that would be perfect.

Funny thing is that the guy played original Zod is the voice of Jor-El on Smallville.

I think Terrence is a little too old now, but a few guys that I think would be perfect are:

                          Hugo Weaving
                          Liam Neeson
                          Robert Patrick

I doubt they could afford the asking price for any of those guys though.

Interesting choice there, Agent Smith himself you say well him does have that ego thing going on and is a very determined and could be a relentless foe, I'd hate to have that guy even thinking about coming after me.

The guys good and also creepy but ever so smooth his roles really show range can you believe this guy was also Elrond in the LOR movies?

Damn was he good but those Matrix movies as Agent Smith being a villian Hell bent on taking out Neo were.....Priceless and his arrogant snobbish personality (as Agent Smith) make him a viable canidate also in my book... Agent Smith welcome him back...we miss him!!!

I doubt they could afford the asking price for any of those guys though.

I like the fact you've included these guys but whats up with Robert Patrick I kinda like him in good guy roles and the current series he's in now "The Unit" a role he fits into perfectly IMO I really like that show kinda hits home and you see the other side of things not comon going on in Military familys daily lives very good again IMO, he's good I like him but I like him as a good guy hes got some good credits going for him but maybe its just me I like Robert but don't see him that evil not even as a mission terminating "Cop" the guys just not evil enough and I've seen alot of his work as you have I would imagine but to me he's not the one!

Now Liam Neeson this guys got it all and I really like his poise and style plus that voice its got a classic ring to it almost poetic in the classical sense I think this guy would be almost perfect and Liams in great shape.

He was fantastic in the latest Batman movie, very dark very mystic, the role he played really made the movie come together telling the story from a different prespective all pulling it altogether...best Batman to date.

His credits are very impressive and he'd probably break the bank this is a top list guy you've chosen and he'd fit better then good Robert IMO it be a tough choice but I'd go with Liam or Hugo giving Liam a slight lead from what I've seen of both of them plus I tink Liams range would be just about right for this role but he's gonna cost them IMO and he'd deserve it, the guys great you've seen his body of work very impressive and classy I like his style!
