Re: ***Smallville Official Season 5 Krptotalk****

A couple quick questions that I'm curious about:

Do we ever/have we seen Clark flying?
When does Chloe find out (what season)?

Yes you do. I believe in season 2 or 3

Chloe finds out in season 3 I am pretty sure.

Pete found out in season 2 right?

hopefully some can correct me if I am wrong. I can't remember 100% and does anyone know yet when the new season is set to start?

Yeah, the last episode I watched was where Pete finds the ship and Clark tells him the truth.

I think in the first season you see Clark hovering while sleeping. Then at the start of season 4 you see him really flying. Another time in season 5 he flies again. He should really fly more, it looks real cool.

Chloe finds out in season 4.

Going back to the "Heat" episode, I thought the heat vision effect was really cool.

yeah, it's more realistic that just red laser beams coming out of his eyes. I'm not that big a fan of his super hearing in the show though, it always does a close up of his inner ear which is kinda gross.

He jumped on that missile that the guy launched to destroy Smallville but does Clark really know how to fly yet? I was under the impression that he didn't (other than when he was possessed).

He flew in his fortress with Lana in the episode that Jonathan Kent dies, when he let her in on his secret. He ended up going back in time and erasing that moment, but he did fly with her in the fortress for a second.

Some more Jimmy Olson in season 6 news:
                    Smallville's Olsen Finds Romance

Aaron Ashmore, who joins the cast of The CW's Smallville as Jimmy Olsen, told SCI FI Wire that the well-known Superman character will get romantic in the show's upcoming sixth season. "He's also going to be a love interest for Chloe [Allison Mack]," Ashmore said in an interview at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Pasadena, Calif., on July 17. "They met a couple of summers before and had a bit of a thing, so now they're kind of reconnecting."

Ashmore's Olsen is only the latest character from the DC Comics Superman mythology to find his way into Smallville. As in other incarnations, this Olsen will work at the Daily Planet, he said. "He's basically been hired as an intern at the Daily Planet, and his job right now is, like, scanning pictures into the computer and stuff like that. But he really wants to be a photographer. Hasn't really perfected his skills yet, you know, half of it's out of focus."

Ashmore, the twin brother of X-Men star Sean Ashmore, added that he's only just now begun work on Smallville, which started up production again recently in Vancouver, B.C. "Yeah, I worked with Allison Mack and Tom Welling [Clark] the first day, because I've only done, like, a couple of scenes this one day, and they're both, like, super friendly, and the crew as well," Aaron said. "You know, they've got, like, a real family atmosphere down there. I guess they've been doing it for long enough that everyone really knows each other, and, yeah, they're very welcoming."

Ashmore added that his Jimmy Olsen won't be much younger than Clark Kent or Lois Lane, unlike the movies and comics. "He is supposed to be younger, but we're all peers, I think," Ashmore said. "That's the way it's playing." And will Jimmy call Clark "Mr. Kent?" Ashmore laughs. "I call him CK, actually," he said. "Yeah, CK. I don't know how much he likes that, but that's what he's been labeled." Smallville will return Sept. 28 in a new Thursday 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.

I guess I just assumed it was a super jump more than a flying thing. Its still a bit unclear for me. I want to see him fly to Metropolis just once instead of seeing the super running bit.

As for the premier, its nice that its late September. I'm also glad to hear Chloe is still on the show since she's one of the better characters (although she should be working for NASA with all of her computer skills). Any word Lana gets killed or written off the show? You would really make my day then.

He just kinda soared up though, it didn't seem like a jump to me. It seemed to be going up to slow to be a jump I thought.

Either way, as cool as his take off was that first time he flew, they should do that more.

The only thing that I really don't like is how every show has at least 3 openings for Clark to tell Lana his secret. Its really getting annoying. The quick zings Lana dishes out are pretty good though, but I can see them wearing thin eventually.

More info on Green Arrow in TV Guide. Evidently he is going to be in at least 7 episodes! That's cool, I thought it was just gonna be a one-shot like Flash and Aquaman.

Earlier this week we reported on TV Guide's news regarding a couple of additions to the characters appearing in season 6 of "Smallville". Thanks to TV Guide, here is the complete article from their current magazine issue (be warned, there are spoilers)...

Clark Kent may be more powerful than a locomotive, but even a Superman can't handle every crisis by himself. Enter Oliver Queen, aka Green Arrow, the latest DC Comics character to visit Smallville.

Famous for his peerless skill with bow and arrow, Oliver will appear in at least seven episodes this season, which premieres September 28 on the new CW network. "He will start to form the nascent Justice League," says executive producer Al Gough. "He's trying to find like-minded people with special powers and put a more formal structure in place."

TV Guide Cover As with previous superhero guest stars like the Flash, Clark (Tom Welling) will be initially wary of Green Arrow. "Ultimately Clark will see the value of what he is trying to do," Gough says. "But as he's gotten older, Clark has become more cautious. He will always be there to help out, but he doesn't want to be part of a formalized organization."

Justin Hartley, best known for playing hunky rich boy Fox Crane on NBC's soap Passions, has been cast in the role. Hartley starred in the pilot for an Aquaman series that Gough and his producing partner, Miles Millar, had developed for CW, and when that show wasn't picked up, they quickly offered Hartley the Smallville gig. "What really appealed to us is that he has a great combination of sexiness and humor," Gough says. That'll also appeal to Lois Lane (Erica Durance), who Gough says will take a romantic interest in the emerald archer.

Cupid's arrows will also hit Clark's best friend, Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack), and a young Daily Planet coworker by the name of Jimmy Olsen. That's right, Superman's future pal joins the Smallville universe as a recurring guest star. Chloe and Jimmy met off screen a few years ago when they were summer interns at the Planet. "In our first episode back, they reconnect," Gough says. "And so Chloe Sullivan finally gets a boyfriend."

That's one team-up even Clark should approve of.
