In what way? What makes her writing weaker than someone else's? & does she write everything that she reads? I've heard a number of anchors on many occassions repeat what was said on the 11 or 6pm broadcast.

Examples, please. "Weak writer" is a criticism that just hangs in the air w/no specifics.

Did you not read the example I cited about how she ended Alan Kulwicki's obituary earlier in this thread, saying his nickname was "Mighty Mouse?" And considering it was the first confirmed report of Kulwicki's death, I highly doubt it was a rehash.

That, my friend, is bad writing. And I could cite other examples, but sorry, I haven't bought my Linda Cohn criticism notebook from the ESPN store.

And as for hanging in the air with specifics, I assume you think Cohn is good. So, what exactly makes her good? Any specifics that you can pull from the ether?

I don't think she's good. I don't think she's bad. 1% of the media in sports I like. 5% I wish would drop off the face of the earth (please put Tim McCarver 1st in line). The rest are "eh". Just as good or bad as the rest.

My problem w/you guys is I don't understand how you can see any difference, period. Same stuff. Same delivery. Same corny humour. There's nothing distinctive about any of them. I don't get why people hate Lisa Guerro, Eric Dickerson, Brent Musberger etc. They are all cut from the same cloth.

99% of the complaints I've heard about Cohn are about her teeth. Who in the world cares? Who looks @ SC to get turned on? No one said you had to go to bed w/the SC anchor who hosted that evening.

all in all, she is not good, hence she has been off the air for sometime now. Theres a reason for that, and im sure it has something to do with her looks as well as her being not being too good at her job. She tries to be like stu at times with her cheesy humor, but it doesnt translate as well. Its like she is trying to hard. I for one am glad i dont have to see/hear her all the time now.
