I suppose I could startle you some with my hour-long wait stuck 225 feet above the ground, but instead I'll talk about how a kid once died on that ride. That's right, ride-goers. A kid somehow fell out of his... harness thing, and died. The ride was closed for about 4 months, and after that, it didn't stop me from going on there again.
That said, this movie will not do the same for me. It's just a movie... whether reality can kick in or not. Now, if I had a premonition about this kind of thing, I would not go on the ride. At least, not that night.
And if I go to Vegas again, you can bet I'm going to ride the Stratosphere Insanity ride! I don't care if there are any prior mishaps to people dying... I LOVE that ride!
The Stratosphere in Vegas is crap compared to that Drop Zone, called Giant Drop here in Six Flags in Ill. I hate the Giant Drop. When they release the pressure when you're at the very top, it feels like your heart stops for a few seconds. Pretty cool and crazy at the same time. I wanna try that new ride at the Stratosphere where they have a coaster on magnets that suspends on the side of the building.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: Final Destination 3
I just got back from seeing it. There were things about this movie that I loved, and things that I... well... that I didn't love. I'll just jot down some random non-spoiler notes on a few likes and dislikes with this movie:
- I don't know what the official runtime was, but I don't believe it was any longer than 90 minutes. Honestly, I saw so many places where this movie could have been extended... primarily where there are explanations, etc.
- This movie felt much more like the first one than the last one... at least, the way that things came through. The tension in the deaths were a lot alike from Todd's in the very first Final Destination to the first death in this movie. Really makes you cringe, I tell ya.
- There was a lot of misdirection, which is a plus. However, sometimes, it became so consistent that it became rather obvious when it was going to happen.
- The build up to the roller coaster accident was executed perfectly. Nearly flawless. The delivery, however, had some flaws. To me, the biggest flaw is making it a roller coaster accident. As great as that is, I believe that it would be very hard to try and slow down key parts of it to identify each death individually. Their interpretation was certainly good in timing of it (it was nice and long), but the amount of realism in it was... lacking. Of course, you don't expect any of this stuff to ever actually happen, but you may see what I mean.
- Deaths are, once again, top-notch. Carnage candy. Also, there's a nice set of tittays! Nobody tops Odessa Munroe's in FD2, but you get to see these ones more.
- I guess it was harder for me to imagine this movie with kids that are dying, rather than it being more of adults. I mean, it's not the kids themselves, but the surrounding atmosphere made things a little bit cornier than, say, what the first and second movies had. Hard to explain. Again, you may understand.
* * * * NOW FOR SOME POSSIBLE SPOILERS. I WILL NOT OVERKILL, BUT THIS IS FAIR WARNING * * * *
- Tony Todd was not in this movie! It's like... having The Matrix without the Oracle. It just doesn't work... I'm sorry. He needed to reveal something else about Death and Fate.
- I can't honestly say whether I know if this series is a trilogy or not. The trailer sure makes it feel like it's supposed to be a trilogy, but... and it wasn't the ending of this movie that makes me say this... but a trilogy is normally left with some definite conclusion in the series of the movie... as in an obvious explanation for something that we didn't understand before. The way I see it, this movie was no different from the other two in terms of explanations, other than they found a way to try and cheat death through photographs... rather than the blueprints of the plane, or the thought of Death working backwards. Just another story. Perhaps a different ending, but that's all.

Re: Final Destination 3
Oh yeah, and there were a few STRANGE trailers before this movie. Looks like Chappelle is coming out with a documentary-like movie, and there was this crazy one that was about some happy marriage gone wrong because a guy gets... injected by a slug? I don't know... I think it was supposed to be horror, but I laughed at the trailer the whole time. I think it was called Slither. Finally, there was one with Antonio Banderas as some... I don't know, like a ballet instructor or something. Looked weird.
Then there was an okay one with Bruce Willis, called 16 Blocks or something like that. Definitely the best of the bunch, but those had to have been the worst set of trailers that I had ever seen in my entire life.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Final Destination 3
Very good movie. Good as the other 2, maybe so but its hard to tell. This move stuck with the same great concept and thrill as the first two. I would recommend this movieGametag JetsfanSINY79Comment

I believe that was his voice on the subway train in the last scene of the movie. He made an announcment over the intercom.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Final Destination 3
Yeah, there's a good chance that it was.
I'm just sad that they didn't incorporate his character in the movie... at least, if this really is supposed to be considered a trilogy.
