Very good interview, at times Dave seems like he is having a hard time talking about, which means that it must have been a pretty serious issue that made him quit. Anyways, if you guys arent able to watch it, I'm pretty sure they'll replay it tonight or something. Just wanted to let you all know..

Dave Chappelle on Oprah NOW!
Ok normally I never watch daytime tv, let alone Oprah, but my girlfriend calls me this morning to tell me to tune it to ABC. Dave Chappelle comes on and he is telling his story of exactly what happened to why he quit.

I dont want to give out too much, cause it might spoil it for you and other people, but I definately think its a must-watch.
Whats more hilarious is Oprah actually showed the skit of how Dave impregnated her during his show. HAHA
**edit**
Theres a moment, where it seems like hes about to cry. but hes still the same Dave, that says something and makes it into a wisecrack.Last edited by shugknight; 02-03-2006, 11:26 AM.Comment

Re: Dave Chappelle on Oprah NOW!
I flipped back between this and reruns of "Spin City". I love that show! Gotta love graveyard shift for getting to only watch daytime TV.
Anyways a pretty good interview. From what I understand he said he'll come back to at least finish the 3rd season, but after that he needs more. More from the audience and more from the producers. He was just overwhelmed from people trying to get into his pockets, being pressured to do certain things, the life of stardom, etc...
Pretty serious tone. He's still a funny guy and makes jokes now and then but overall a decent interview.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

Re: Dave Chappelle on Oprah NOW!
Well after watching the show, I don't think I totally believe Chappelle's story. That being said I sure as hell hope he comes back to do his show. He said he'd go back to his show if he has total control over staffing and also creative control. It seems it was the money, pressure, and manipulators that caused him to walk out.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
